“Customer service was good except one worker she was Hispanic I believe she was very inconvenient she asked for my shoe size went to the back and walked out with no shoe and started helping another gentleman I was like wow granted I kept changing my shoe size but I was trying to find a conferable shoe for work I ended up finding 2 pair of vapor pro max and 1 air max and was happy with my service from the nice lady that was patient with me I hope she got great commission”

“Hot topic was the only store to shop at growing up Emo in the early 2000s.It had been some time since I had been here and am pleasantly surprised. The clothing it adorable and much of it a perfect replacement for previous styles. There is a huge variety, and as an "elder emo" hot topic gets my seal of approval. If you want older styles of clothing go to the thrift store like the rest of us.”

“I needed to get some gifts from guests from the West Coast and imagined that attire from LL Bean would be something quintessentially Northeastern. As I don't shop here myself (and having been deterred by the company's politics) I had no expectations when I entered the store. First, the store is large, handsomely laid out, and conveys the (correct) impression of high quality. I was approached by two salespeople who were very nice and very helpful. It pretty much screams high quality by your shopping experience. The items I selected were full price, and not inexpensive, but were clearly well made. At check out they were carefully wrapped and placed in a shopping bag (kudos for not appearing to charge for the bag and for not using plastic.) I would go back here in a moment. Factoring the dirth of high quality options in the Albany area it's nice to have this here.”

“Erica is amazing. I went in for an updated wardrobe because I am now 30 and it was time lol. Erica approached me asking if she could take the items I picked out to a dressing room so I could keep shopping, and then she asked me what I was shopping for today. I continued shopping and when I went to the dressing room, she told me that she also picked out some things I could try if I wanted and she had it hanging in the dressing room organized into multiple outfits. It was so sweet and I really loved a lot of the pieces she picked out that I wouldn’t have picked for myself on my own. She was there when I needed to try different sizes and brought it to my dressing room. She went above and beyond to make the experience not only pleasant, but fun!! Thank you Erica!!”

“One of the last large stores still found in malls in my area. A good place to go for clothes as they carry a lot. They also have departments for jewelry, home goods, etc. Even if you are not out to buy anything, it is an interesting place to just walk around a bit. I would enjoy these types of stores while you can, since the various chains are closing everywhere along with our malls.”

“I can’t understand some of the bad reviews regarding the cleanliness of the store. I found the store very organized. They could put up Christmas decorations, but the customer service was amazing so many people helped me pick out perfume as a Christmas present for my wife. One particular associate in the moisturizer section deserves praise. Mary K was fantastic in helping me and very knowledgeable. She was super friendly, it’s was a pleasure shopping at the Colonie center location. Christmas wish is that Macy’s recognize excellence in Mary K who goes above and beyond. It is the employees that really make the shopping experience a positive one.”
