1275 Central Ave, Albany“Very clean place and nice staff! Prices were affordable as well. I’ve been to a couple south Asian grocery shops that weren’t well maintained so this took me by surprise!”
“Eclectic alternative to typical grocery store/supermarket experience. Extensive product selection, although you might not recognize the brands. Many opportunities to but bulk, organic, local, and in season. I mean, like they have a fresh brewed Kumbacha bar. Need I say more?”
“Great service but tiny parking lot, so yourself a favor and just park in the dealerships back lot parking that's across the street instead of trying to get into the stores. Parking is a nightmare”

“I love this place, I went to get some dried fish and they had it, but I ended up buying more than what I went to get lol. Due to the customer service, and on another occasion, they were not open and I eventually saw the owner and I signal to him I need to get an outfit, and he sent his wife to come and attend to me. I couldn't believe it lol .if most businesses will not care how hard I knocked the door, they will shout we are closed lol. But they didn't. Alhamduliah for such service!”

Empire State Plaza, Food Court, Concourse Level, Albany“Huge selection. Like another reviewer said, the bulk bins are spectacular. They are a throwback to old markets where you would buy your beans and grains and other dry goods out of big containers. Something I used to see occasionally as a child. I bought navy beans here, which I actually had a hard time finding in my local supermarkets. They have a bunch of nifty sections if you want to make your own... Well pretty much anything. There's yeast and kombucha and all kinds of raw and fermented stuff. Huge selection in a small store Now the bad part: if you were looking to spend $200 on groceries that you can carry out in one hand, this is certainly your place, you will have no problem doing that, and a huge selection to choose from. It seems like most of the food quality is a cut above, especially for cheeses and specialty items. However, I can't imagine people shopping here for their daily needs We had a lovely cashier named Val, I am sure we could be good friends! She asked me if we were members of the co-op, and when I asked her what was involved with that, it was a $100 yearly fee and a three hour orientation to become a member. I really admire the people who are committed to such things, but it's just a bit much for me. Happy to go there sometimes to get some specialty items though. One more thing: quite nice and interesting plant selection. Surprising in a little market, but they had all sorts of little cactus and succulents and other plans, really nice little stuff.”
“For several years we have chosen to have Thanksgiving Dinner catered for three of us. We are not big eaters and enjoy having some leftovers for the next day. The three previous years we were happy with the dinner offered by Fresh Market. This year my wife saw an ad for Primal butchers and decided to try them. The biggest difference between Fresh Market and Primal was the inclusion of thigh meat in the Primal package. Fresh Market only provided you with a fully cooked breast. As can be seen in my photo, Primal provided both sliced breast and thigh meat in their $45 meal for two people. This being our first year trying Primal we ordered two meals for two to feed the three of us just to be on the safe side.Following their instructions for reheating, we all agreed that the turkey was moist and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were just average, but with the gravy added they were flavorful and enjoyable. Carrots and green beans had a proper firmness and were tasty. The squash had good flavor and the sausage dressing was tasty, but the sausage flavor was not noticeable. My wife preferred the cranberry sauce from Fresh Market with its added orange flavor, but Primal's sauce with whole cranberries was still tasty and enjoyable, even if it did likely come from a can.Bottom line, we probably could have gotten along just fine with only one order for two people, but since we enjoyed everything as much as we did, we are likely to order from them again. Maybe we should look to see what they offer for Christmas dinner.”
