“A nice little wine shop with a great selection of wines! The selection isn’t huge but they make up for that in the quality of what they sell. I don’t know much about wine, so I pick my usual price point, location of the vineyard and then pick whatever bottle looks the coolest. So far I haven’t been disappointed using this process here! The staff is also always friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend”
“This store has different names depending on where you search. The sign over the door says "Westmere Wine and Spirit." On Google you'll find both "Westmere Wine & Liquor" and "Westmere Liquor Store," and here on Yelp, it's also "Westmere Liquor Store." But they're all the same place, at 1810 Western Avenue. For a relatively small space, it's amazing how much they carry and just how well organized it is. The wines dominate the middle aisles. On the right, you have some New York State wines, and you've also got Asian selections, including a large variety of Sake. On the left, you have your liquors, and these are competitively priced. Plus, given how close it is to my home, it's very convenient for me.”

“Visited this location on 6/12/2020 (during COVID19) everyone lines up outside and one by one you step inside surrounded by this plexi glass...the store associate asks you what you would like...rings it up...and you open up this little door to give her your cash or credit/debit card. I didn't think to take pictures but this is the current process while Coronavirus is going around. They have many varieties and also sell a light fruity drink called Stella Rosa! Ladies, you will like Stella Rosa! Go check it out! It cost $12.95 per bottle.”

“I love this place. Small, cute, and the people working the front are always super kind and knowledgeable. Have come in here on a mission for a certain bottle and received quick guidance to get in and out when I wanted. I have also stumbled in after a visit to graney's next door requesting suggestions and was greeted with pointed questions and great suggestions to help me find what I wanted. There are places that are cheaper, to be sure, but I love the service and the great vibe I get in here when I want something closer to home. Highly recommend!”
“Came here for a late lunch when we were passing through Albany a little while back. Though we came a little after the lunch rush on a Sunday, there were still a considerable amount of people inside.Once seated, we shared a fried cheese curd appetizer to start in addition to our respective mains. I got a vegan version of their Philly cheesesteak. The fried cheese curds were amazing - it came with a berry jam dipping sauce that paired amazingly well with the cheese curds. As for my cheesesteak, it was good, albeit heavy. The portions were also incredibly generous - I ended up having leftovers for days afterwards!My only quibble about this place was that the service was pretty slow. They may have been a little short-staffed at the time, but we were on a tight schedule and we were worried that we would miss our train because it took a little while longer than anticipated for our food to come out. Otherwise, I thought the food was very good and I would certainly consider coming back here for a meal if I find myself in Albany again.”

“This place is amazing! Full of delicious cheeses, meats, cute merchandise, and yummy unique sweets and drinks. The best part though is that the people that work there are absolutely astounding. They are full of so much knowledge about the cheeses they have and they are incredibly helpful and friendly. And I have found so many new delicious cheeses I love as a result. If I did not live over a thousand miles away I would visit this place daily until I have a chance to try everything they offer.”
