Excellent place! So helpful and informative. And great to support a local business. The people working there are so nice and helpful.

Marty took my phone order for parts for my SEBO, worked with me on prices, kept in touch, and delivered the products quickly. I'm very happy with his service and will definitely order from Lexington Vacuum again.

My mother's Miele had stopped working. It was old, but had very low hours on it. I took it to two other vacuum repair stores in Albany - both on Central Ave. One kept it for mechanical evaluation; then told me that it was irreparable and they would give me a $100 credit toward a new $1000 Miele. The other felt it was too old to work on and didn't want to touch it, but they also wanted to sell me a new $1000 vacuum. Lexington Vacuum to the rescue! They took a look at it, brilliantly figured it need a new cord and, a meager $50 later, it was back to work! I have since recommended them to many friends and have taken my own vacuum with a LOT of hours on it for repair. I had the same pleasant experience. You can TRUST Lexington vacuum!

I was going to buy the very expensive vacuum the New York Times recommended but then I thought I should go to Lexington Vacuum where I bought my stand up vacuum 16 years ago. That vacuum is excellent. Still works great as promised but I moved and no longer have carpet just wood floors. I needed a new vacuum. Marty from Lexington Vacuum agreed the one recommended by the NYTimes was an excellent machine but recommended 2 others at different (and cheaper) price points. I tried out the middle priced one that he said was just as good as the expensive one. It worked exceptionally well. I was sold. Especially when he said he preferred that brand (Seibo) because they extend the warranty to 10 years and had free annual tuneups! What a great experience start to finish. I am so glad I went to Lexington Vacuum instead of overpaying for something online. It really is worth it to go to this shop, talk to a person who can get you what you need and save you money not just today but in the long run too. If you need a vacuum shop at Lexington Vacuum. It is well worth the trip.

Please go somewhere else! This store is charging for work they did not do, as it was obvious when I started my machine and it made the same noise/issue! Bad business and the owner is rude!

How do you get jazzed about a vacuum cleaner? Go to Lexington Vacuum. Don't let yourself down with some awful mystery vac online like I did. They are friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Let me try it on some rugs, bash it about, try out its gizmos. Didn't have to take the carton home. It's the little things sometimes. The machine in the photo is a Titan T9200 canister. It's awesome. HEPA dust and exhaust filters. Anti-static so no pet hair clumps underneath. Quiet. At your thumb are the power switch, powered accessory switch, variable speed motor slider. Various lights I'm not interested in. The power head pops right off with your foot, pops back on without bending, gets VERY close to wall edges on both sides, lays down perfectly flat to go all the way under furniture, has its own motor with switch on the handle, carpet height footswitch. Every accessory stays on or in the machine and can connect to the handle or the wand. The furniture / stair attachment has its own motor, awesome on carpeted stairs. Hose is super flexible. Power cord rewind that actually works. Pull the wand off and the handle already has the brush attachment on it - surprisingly useful. Despite looking bulky, the handle is very light.Very few and mild cons. Power cord has a slight oily or stickiness that feels like it gets on your hands. On the power head, the carpet height and tilt release stomp levers are hard to aim for and seem delicate.

You know you're getting old when you're writing a five-star review for a vacuum store...but, this place is the bomb; knew everything to know about my machine and seemingly all others, and got it repaired in like-new order despite the broken part being discontinued by the manufacturer

There is a very good reason this business has been around the Albany area for so many years. It always shoots straight and invariably charges fair prices. It can repair almost any vacuum as illustrated by its recent repair of my 35-year-old Hoover upright, which, post repair operated as efficiently as the day I purchased it. When subsequently an irreplaceable plastic part gave way, it performed an in-store repair, while I waited, that will most likely keep the machine operating until the motor breathes its last breath. I have patronized it for decades because of service just like that. And, if you are looking for a new vacuum this business is uniquely situated (due to years of experience) to tailor your purchase to your individual needs.Sound too good to be true? I suggest you patronize it yourself and find out that there is no exaggeration in this testimonial. And, they even sharpen knives!

This place is awesome! I can always get what I need for my 22 year old Miele. Occasionally small things need to be repaired/replaced and Lexington does a great job and doesn’t try to push you into a new vacuum!

I had a great experience with Lexington Vacuum. The powerhead on my vacuum cleaner broke and it was under warranty. I took it to another repair shop and after 2 months they said they could not get the part and could not repair it. I took it to Lexington Vacuum and had it back in 3 days. I had to have a new powerhead because the other store did not return all of the internal pieces. I highly recommend them.

Best vacuum store in upstate NY! Marty helped us find exactly what we were looking for, navigating all the ins and outs of vacuums, and letting us get a feel for the machines. We will definitely be going back for all our vacuum needs!

You won't get a better price than you can at Lexington Vacuum. That means they're a bargain because you can't try out various models on line and you can't get the expertise you do at Lexington. The salesman, Marty, actually steered me away from the highest priced model. My research indicated Miele was the best. I asked, "Is the Brilliant worth the extra money over the Marin?" he replied that the Marin wasn't worth the extra $100 over the the next model down. He then went, step by step, through the each difference between the models. When he was done, I asked if there was something he would recommend instead. He said he wouldn't recommend one over the other, but said another to consider is the SEBO. Once again, hoe put the two models side by side and went through what was the same and what was different with each one. All the reviews I read, combined, could not match what I learned from Marty in his demonstrations.Oh, and they perform a yearly servicing. Why buy anywhere else.Of course, you might not be looking to spend that much on a vacuum (although each will last longer than the combined lifetimes of all the vacuums you'll eventually buy), but it became obvious to me from their interactions with other customers in the store that they will provide the same level of customer service, regardless of what brand you buy at any price point.

I've been to several vacuum stores for purchase and repair. Lexington vacuum is by far the best in terms of customer service, knowledge, choice of products and friendliness. I have two older vacuums and the repairs have been done quickly and perfectly. Marty, the owner and his staff, are so friendly and very knowledgeable. What a terrific store, I can't say enough.

Went in with a good sense of what I wanted. The owner still took the time to explain my options even after I revealed I was looking at the higher end units. I appreciated that open and honest conversation even knowing it might result in my buying a less expensive vacuum. He made sure the attachments would fit the needs of my house, including a larger wood floor attachment that will reduce my vacuuming time. He also walked me though some good home maintenance tips for better performance. You don't get that service at a big box or on-line store. Happy I shopped local!
