Ed helped us out when no other shop would, getting our Honda Odyssey back up and running quickly while on a road trip. Ed is very friendly, quick to call you back, and seems to genuinely want to help people, a rare thing in this world! He even offered me a ride to pick my car up. I bought a used 2011 Chevy Cruz that needed extensive work. Ed was extremely honest about the necessary work required. He is a mastermind, fixed everything quickly, and saved me A TON of money compared to competitor quotes. I won't take my car anywhere else.Services: Transmission

Ed has been my mechanic since I first moved to Albany. I've come to EDK Auto with all sorts of problems, but I believe my most recent repair says it best: I got a flat tire on my car and had to tow my car. I had it brought EDK and called Ed about it. He got back to me within the hour to let me know he could repair it, and then called back only a couple hours later after he'd taken a look at it to let me know exactly what needed to be done, what kind of tire he was using to replace the flat, exactly how much it would cost, and a breakdown of the fees. I called back several times; he was very patient with all of my questions and was willing to repeat information that I hadn't retained the first time. I explained to him that I'd planned to travel that weekend and wanted to know if I needed to cancel my plans, and he immediately checked to see when the tires would arrive. He kept me well-updated -- he let me know on Thursday that they were scheduled to arrive on Friday but didn't say what time, then called at noon on Friday to let me know that the tires hadn't arrived so that I could plan accordingly, then updated me again when they arrived later that day and told me exactly when he would have it done by. He told me what would need to be repaired that day and what could wait until later so that I could keep my plans. When I got to the shop to pick my car up, he was (as always) very personable and friendly. As someone who knows very little about cars, I ask a lot of basic questions, but he always treats me with respect and understanding and gives my questions in-depth but easily-digestible answers. I do my research when it comes to costs and he has never charged me unfairly. Ed and his son both seem to care very deeply about the work they're doing and the satisfaction of their customers. He's the best mechanic I've ever worked with and I'd recommend him to anyone!

During one of the coldest weeks of this winter, the heat in one of our service vans completely stopped working. We contacted EDK, brought the van over, they evaluated the problem and ordered the parts needed. They were also kind enough to squeeze us in to fix the problem the Next day when the parts arrived!! (We had initially contacted the Ford dealership where we recently purchased the "warrantied" van and they couldn't give us an appointment for 3+ weeks!?!) Thank you for the Excellent customer service and Honest/ Quick repair, Ed and Eddie. You are our mechanics from now on and we would highly recommend you to anyone!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

EDK automotive is truly incredible! I never feel l like I'm getting ripped off when I'm taking my car there. The car is always fixed pretty quickly. There are times when they are really busy, and Ed will still squeeze me in. Prices are incredibly fair. I won't bring my car anywhere else in Albany for maintenance.

Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone!! Always Honest, Fairly priced, and Reliable. Unlike other mechanics who always try to oversell repairs and tend to keep our car(s) longer than anticipated. We’ve never experienced this at EDK. Our repairs have always been completed as discussed/expected and in the time frame quoted. All of our family cars are serviced here. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!
