This review is 1/2 for CVS and 1/2 for this particular store. I am 74 and retired on a Medicare advantage plan. Almost all of my prescriptions need to be reauthorized every 6 or 12 months. Some of the prescriptions are the same amount every day and some are "as needed". I've requested that the everyday prescription be refilled automatically every month or every 3 months as appropriate. The other medications should only be refilled at my request. I usually don't need all of the refills allowed for the "as needed medications." CVS can't seem to get this straight. They do things like immediately send me a prescription my doctor has reauthorized even though I still have most of the pills from the prior prescription left and refill "as needed" prescriptions every month until the allowed number of refills has been used up. If these screwups are deliberate instead of just incompetent it's fraud .When I brought this issue to the attention of CVS staff they were rude, insulting and somewhat threatening.

CVS, personal service at the pharmacy has deteriorated tremendously over the past years. I have been to at least five stores and had problems at each one. In fact there is no personal service. Everyone is simply a number. Young. technicians call, older people whom they do not know by their first names. They never count the change. The next refill date varies from one technician to the other. The vaccination scheduling website is very user unfriendly and no one at CVS will help to schedule a shot. Going to the local pharmacy used to be fun now it is a chore, especially if it is CVS.

Trying not to complain about the awfully small and awkward parking lot b/c I know the employees can't control that ... BUT. Why the hell does it take over 24 hours to refill a prescription? Guys -- I worked at CVS 20 years ago and I've been a loyal customer since. I've moved several times and have used 4 different CVS stores and not a single one of them took 24 hours PLUS to refill a prescription. What's going on??

My wife and I have been using CVS Pharmacy since they opened the store at 613 New Scotland Avenue, and they have always been fantastic. They always have my med's ready when they're supposed to be, and we've always been dealt with continuously and professionally, we'd never go anywhere else.

Prices are tricky forcing you to join their club but it seems worth while. As with all CVS stores, way too much merchandise! You can barely make it through the isles. God help you if you're looking for something specific. Because of this, don't be in a hurry and that's exactly the strategy.
