I am writing about a new policy that CVS in Albany, NY has recently implemented. You can no longer call the pharmacy and connect to a pharmacist or anyone else in that department. You are now forced to leave a message and wait for a return call. I just tried to call during their lunch break (1:30pm - 2:00pm) and leaving a message is not even an option. Does CVS value its customers? There use to be a time when people really sought out advice from their pharmacist, but now they want to make communications with the pharmacist even harder. They really need to rethink this new policy.

I been going to this pharmacy for years. I never had a problem to yesterday. One girl don't know how to spell. I read my name 3 times. I gotten a lil upset due to fact one person was a head of me it took her like 20 minutes. She walks away from me. Then a rude unprofessional guy jump on me instead of calming me down he was nasty like he gonna do something to me instead of serving me. Then another one so call manager no better she was nasty. Imma report all three. None of them help me out very nasty poor customer service. I was upset I say I was gonna go to another pharmacy the manager say go ahead who cares.

I see several reviews about the friendly staff. I don’t see it. I found them to be relatively rude and distracted. Too busy and overwhelmed to really care. Almost impossible to reach on the phone. Very expensive with my insurance. I switched to a small, privately owned pharmacy and they are a delight.

I’ve never been to a pharmacy that takes hours to process a prescription. My doctor ordered mine early in the morning and I came Late in the evening. I still had to wait 30 minutes for them to process my subscription and two of them were out of stock so I was asked to come back another day. When my order is finally ready, she sends me to another line to update my insurance because they’re trying to charge me full price, which takes another 30 minutes.

We had a bad experience taking Passport-size photos in this CVS pharmacy. Poor lighting causing harsh shadows, unprofessional editing with excessive filters or unnatural color tones, and a lack of creativity or originality in the shot.

So, the cashier (Alshams?) was on her (earbud) phone talking the whole time while I was cashing out. Not a single word to me. No "Hello", "How are you", "Will that be all", "Thank you" or "Have a nice evening" Her phone call was more important than the customer in front of her. She definitely needs retraining in Customer Service. And I would find it hard to believe that CVS doesn't not have a strict policy of no personal phone usage while helping a customer, let alone on the clock, having a casual phone conversation.
11/06/24 - Went in for several cold beverages, found a mostly empty set of coolers. How do you expect to sell product if the coolers are mostly empty?

With excessive necessities being locked up the trend of collective punishment continues. People steal then law-abiding citizens can't shop in peace. I know this a reality of life, but it makes the shopping experience horrible. You just about need a personal associate to follow you around the store to unlock items for you. Also, to have a store associate loudly yell "I'm going to call the police if anyone is stealing" is rude and unfair to honest customers (although I can sympathize with the frustration of working in retail and dealing with theft; no one wants to deal with it, not even law enforcement).

The clerk helped me understand that I could not get a item exchanged because I had coupons. She was cooperative, too!

I’ve been using this pharmacy for years and had the worst experience i’ve had yet from manager Liam and pharmacy tech Ashanti. They displayed rude and unprofessional behavior, made up rules about how the drive through worked, refused to speak to my doctors office when I had them on the line, my doctors office was on speaker heard my encounter and said “sorry your pharmacy is being so rude to you.” Im very patient with pharmacists, and I hate complaining, but the unprofessional idm blew me away. Not because I didn’t receive my script, but their unwillingness to to assist me in a Professional way. I get it’s not an easy job, but don’t treat me like a raging crazy person. The manager said he couldn’t give me the techs name, but I called corporate and they said that wasn’t true. Corporate knows about my experience and they of course sided with me.

I ran into this location for convenience at the time, however I think I may make it a point to continue using this location because of how great my experience was! Products were very easy to find, the store is organized and well maintained, and my favorite part was the incredibly friendly customer service. The conversation at checkout was a nice personable one that didn't feel generic or forced, which you typically get in the world of customer care. I really appreciate the interaction I had with the woman behind the register and I'll absolutely be back at this location more often!
