This hotel is beautiful. For those who need a place to stay, you won't be disappointed. The front desk check-in was friendly and fast. Show Evan some love when you go. He was abundantly helpful. He pratically mapped out how to get around the unique layout of the hotel. The first impression was great. Do not let the exterior fool you. The inside is spacious and modern. I want to talk about the staff. I would give the entire staff 10 stars if I could. This hotel accommodated March Madness teams, a wedding, and a 7 State Delegation Council on Friday, March 29th. Go over to the restaurant and enjoy the service of Dave, Tony, Danielle, Ava, and Hayley. Bring your groups here, and have your wedding here. The Crown Plaza has thee best Bartenders and Management I've ever experienced. Thank you all for a memorable evening! Just book the room and enjoy yourself.Rooms: I stayed in a suite that was top-tier quality. The bed was incredible. Im 140lbs and felt like i was sleeping in a cloudFood & drinks: Big D's restaurant is delicious. Try the burger. 5/5 taste and quality.Noteworthy details: Close to the Albany Airport

Very nice hotel. The only issue was that I asked for a later check out and was told no because the holtel was booked for that night. The thing is, I was only looking for a 1 hr extension so I didn't have to leave my class early.

I use to stay at the americana hotel which is now the desmond. My stay was very disappointing. It was very noisy with slamming doors and rowdy neighbors. IT IS NOT WHAT IT WAS BEFORE. I WILL MAKE SURE I NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

Been here before. Will go back again. Very nice clean place. Eat in bar grill restaurant on site. Always with a good crowd and great staff. Unique style with a large courtyard on the interior of the hotel. Always well kept and always hosting some sort of event. Close to everything right next to the highway and Wolf Road.

To say this was a great experience with being understatement and not valuing the staff and the property for all it deserves. I was first timer here on business. And I gotta say, this was an amazing place. The beauty of the courtyards, the Serenity of the Ponds, the absolute fantastically packed Gymnasium, was absolutely amazing. The staff at the front desk was beyond professional, kind, any generous the restaurant staff of Mr. D'S food was fantastic, including our fantastic waitress Tracy. This was a fabulous experience, and I suggested it. You come back and stay as long as you can LOL please tip. That is my professional opinion, of course. The people deserve a little extra because they are doing extreme amounts of extra work for us.Rooms: Super clean beds were ultra comfortable. The toilets could use a higher flush but a small amm critique for a great experienceNearby activities: Cross Gates Mall and the museums were beautiful. I hope to get to see the capital building next timeSafety: Room safes and a consistent watch by staff made me feel safe and secureFood & drinks: Drunk clams are a must, and the kroen BBQ wings were first rate Tracey the server, asked for TRACEY. she was extraordinaryNoteworthy details: TRACEY the server from MR D'S was brilliant and the Pool was outstanding as well go there lol

The rooms are not easily accessible if you are on the higher levels. The room looks nice at first glance, but there is dust and basic cleaning overlooked (including a used pair of ear plugs behind my bed.) My room was located next to one of the indoor courtyards..which held an extremely LOUD conference and people were talking and it echoed into my room past 10:30pm..which I am not happy about since I have to get up for work early the next morning. They do not show any amenities that the hotel offers, no brochures in the room, which I thought was extremely odd. The restaurant has good food, but the service is absolutely terrible. I ordered food with a friend and got my meal, but my friends order took 30 minutes past mine (we ordered the same thing) no apologizes or compensation. It took a total of 2 hours from start to finish to have dinner. Unless management in this hotel starts getting their act together and hiring people who actually care, I would not recommend.

Pretended a business meeting here in one of the conference rooms. The room was very clean and brightly lit with new lighting. The facility used to be called The Desmond Americana. The architecture is reminiscent of colonial America unfortunately when they updated the facility the lobby is Ultra Modern, well done but does not fit the overall architecture. It is disappointing that they have not seen fit to keep the original intent of the facility. I always loved the decor which was cozy and comfortable with many Colonial type accoutrements all gone nowNearby activities: Very close to the airport but I would not recommend walking there as this is on a busy highway

This hotel is a pleasant surprise amongst the hotels in Albany. It has two main neighborhoods that you walk through inside. One has a fountain and the other has seating space. It's a really nice place to stay and I would come back again next time.

This is a very large facility with two large interior (covered) courtyards. There's even a meeting room with a sloped floor, theater style seating, and impressive projection system (essentially, a small theater for business meetings). The restaurant and bar are very welcoming; the staff is nice; the food is good. I highly recommend this property.

Fine for a quick overnight stay while on a road trip. However, the price vs the product that is delivered is outrageous. Our room had a considerably dirty bathroom and the window ledge had a significant amount of black dirt and dust on it. Photos for reference. The door beside our room leading to the outside was meant to be keycard access only to get into the building, and it was broken for anyone to open. Which is very concerning considering we were directly beside the interstate. Building and rooms certainly needs a good clean and repairs in order for it to be worth the price we paid for our booking, which was over $300 USD because we had our small dog. Would certainly consider other options around this price point before booking here ever again.Rooms: Very dirty. Beds were comfortable but otherwise the room needed to be deep cleaned.Safety: Outside door should have been key card access but it was broken. Leaving room for anyone to come in from outside and have access to the hotel. Definitely a safety concern especially where the hotel and that entrance is situated right beside the interstate.

A really nice hotel to stay at. It's massive and so dynamic with its rooms. The staff was very helpful with accommodating guests for my wedding. The bar was also a hit for the after party.
