I think Central Ave Pharmacy is the the best pharmacy I have ever worked with. The pharmacist is excellent. You can ask her anything about medications and she will answer you. She never says the meds are there and and you go to pick them up and they tell you they are on backorder. The Staff is so kind and helpful. GREAT PHARMACY. #1 CENTRAL AVE PHARMACY

I hope like many Americans, I'm concerned about the the disappearance of small businesses in this country. Because of this, I've long made a point of patronizing independent pharmacies, esp. since it doesn't cost me anything to do so. However, I will no longer be patronizing Central Avenue Pharmacy. I'll probably start going to the CVS down the street instead. Why? Because I found that you can never count on CAP to stay open during their published working hours. This has happened to me more times (and on more days) than I care to remember. For example, their schedule says they stay open till 5:30pm on Saturday, but 5pm rolls around, and nobody's in the store. Oh, sure; time to close!I'm not making this stuff up. They freely admit that's their policy. But does it say that on their posted schedule? Of course not!Maybe you want to patronize such a place, but not me. Bye-bye, Central Ave Pharmacy!

This place is the most convenient location to get tested or vaccinated for covid if you live or work in the area around Washington Park. Very organized and professional, super friendly staff, very reassuring test administrators.

If you have to get tested for Covid, go here! The line is kept efficiently and caringly moving by Jamal, he can answer all your questions. All staff work quickly to get your results, both my visits were very pleasant despite the circumstances!

I went to Central Ave Pharmacy for a rapid PCR test for travel.It might be because of the current high demands for tests, but we had to wait for 5 to 6 hours to get tested in a line that stretched outside (in the cold).The PCR test might be a PCR test, but the test results did not contain a QR code as required by some international airlines. It is unclear if the test would be accepted.I'm giving 4 stars because the staff at the pharmacy are really polite, courteous, and accommodating.

If you’re not going to have COVID testing open until the time posted directly on your website then you should really take it down and save everyone a trip.

I fill my prescriptions here and also got a covid test walk in for free! This pharmacy also delivers my medications and they are amazing at what they do. The staff are always kind and attentive, willing to help with anything unlike other pharmacies Ive been to.

A coworker I work with closely tested positive for Covid.Even though I'm vaccinated I wanted to make sure I was negative.They take walkins, the staff ,especially Jamal, was so nice .

If you get there right after they open, you can get a Rapid COVID test. Great service

My 1 year old son woke up with a slight fever, runny nose, and diarrhea, so I took him here so he and I could get a rapid Covid test. I’m vaccinated, he’s obviously not. I was shocked that masks weren’t required in the store, especially where people are coming to get tested. In the pharmacy area, all the workers there were masked, and the pharmacist who tested us and gave us our results (negative, thank goodness!) was wonderful. The employee at the front register of the store had his mask lowered. Most people in the store were masked although some were not wearing them correctly. This was in late Aigust, maybe they’ve changed their rules since then, but I can’t believe that masks wouldn’t be required. It’s not that difficult, people! Wear a mask!
