Fred DeRise is the epitome of a low-moral used car salesman. He never fixed what he said he would (issues with the car at time of purchase that he agreed to take care of). He'd repeatedly tell me something would take a day, I'd drive out & drop off, then at the end of the day he'd say they never actually got the part & I'd be stranded 2 hours from home trying to find a ride. When he'd ignore me for weeks on end after having the issues open for months, he'd tell me "I'm busy".
Response: notice he says "attempt" to fix. He never fixed it, repeatedly left me stranded in Albany without communication when "attempting" to fix it and never made it right. Do not buy from Fred, you will regret it.

They lie and sell you cars that are in no good condition. I repaired a total
Of$ 1.000 on this car. Which I could no longer keep it because of scurrying damages ., no they have it and my credit is worst. Also my daughter gave him 2.000 to fix her cars damage after a accident , they have not fixed it and still have my daughters money. My credit is worst than before . They prey on people that don’t have good credit, but made it worst. They refuse to help me.

Bought a second vehicle from Fred, the 1st was a 2007 and it still runs, hitting 180k miles. Wanted something newer and reliable for long distance. Called about the car, he had his maintenance guy get it all set; oil change, inspection, end to end lights, tires, etc and did a test drive. Was spot on. No issues, no upsell to a different vehicle.
I had a decent down payment and he dropped the price to get rid of all the taxes, fees, registration fees etc so I had a straight price for financing. He did that also, I'm not even paying $160 a month with the creditor he found.
So it is a little out of town, but check it out, worked fine for me twice.

I purchased my vehicle in July of 2023. I reached out to them in August/ September regarding the vehicle burning through gas and having a constant issue with the purge valve- I never got a response back. Currently the vehicle, a Hyundai Tucson, is having serious engine issues leading me to believe it’s going to fail. I’ve come in today 04/08 to get the pamphlet on the cars extended warranty and there’s no salesperson here. The lady who was there was as clueless as the older gentleman that came and tried offering information. How do y’all have two employees who don’t know what they’re doing? Instead of them saying they can’t help and having someone reach out to me later, they slightly closed their office door and just left me in the lobby. I’m not one to immediately claim someone or an organization is racist, but it’s either that or they don’t know how to operate a business. I’m both disappointed and peeved.
05/27 Update: Never received a follow up call. I found the information on the extended warranty for the vehicle and that company is scam. Wynn Extended warranty’s phone line just rings and rings. There’s no website for them or an alternative way to contact them. I’m certain I’ve been sold a lemon. That vehicle has no history of ever being properly serviced. It came with aftermarket HID bulbs that were improperly put in the car- which is illegal in the state of New York. The entire engine is seconds away from failing, if not exploding. I voiced my concerns with owning a Hyundai at time of purchase and they said whatever to make the sale. I haven’t even owned the car for a year and it’s done for. Horrible place. Horrible people.

Recently Purchased a Vehicle from Fred. The experience and process was nothing but great.The vehicle was in amazing shape on the outside and inside.I was a Mechanic for BMW for several years and was able to identify a few small issues which would have been impossible to identify without continued daily use. Fred with no hesitation said he would fix them. Quick efficient and honest guy to work with. Cant wait to come back for another vehicle.

I thankfully have never done business here, but my family has. The manager is never in, and when he is he gives you the run around about what’s really going on with your vehicle. They send your vehicle out for a botch job of a fix and send you on your way. I would never buy from here, or work for/be established with this company. Take your time/money elsewhere!
