I’ve been a member at this gym for a few years now. Read the contracts - they trick college students often. The machines are not the best but they get the job done. They need to update them - they are a pain to adjust. When a machine breaks it takes them mad long to fix, makes me wonder where myannual gym fee goes towards. They definitely try to trick you into spending as much money as possible and then make it impossible to cancel but every gym does that nowadays. They are also overly aggressive with their sales tactics. Been disappointed in my experience here, but some of the front staff members are very friendly.

I've been a member for several years at Best Fitness on Fuller Rd. in Albany. This location is kind of a hidden gem in the area. The facility is incredibly clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly, and always working hard.They have a very good selection of free weights, kettlebells, and machines as well as foam rollers and bands. Plenty of squat racks and plenty of room in workout areas to do what you need to do. I definitely recommend Best to anyone over VENT Fitness.

If you are a college student read this. Sneaky gym. If you are going to a nearby college, DO NOT JOIN. As a college student, you’re better off going to the college gym. First off Read all fine prints they are very tricky and get you to pay tons of money and half of the equipment is still broken or has issues, makes me wonder where all that money goes. Don’t even get me started on the 100$ cancellation fee. Not even Three months and I got charged way over 200$. And if you even think it’s over and you Cancel your membership and they will still charge you. Absolutely never going back.

Best gym in the area. I’m constantly looking for places with The Good Ellipticals (girls will know) and this is the only one where they are all new, clean and working. Staff is all very nice but if you’re looking for a good trainer for problem areas (for instance, I have a tricky shoulder I need to work around), ask for Tim.

Make sure you read the fine print. I tried to cancel my membership thinking I was paying month to month but had signed a two year agreement, something I would never have done if I had known. I tried to ask them to waive the $100 cancellation fee and they refused. I cancelled it but will now surely never go back. I feel like I scammed so just make sure you read what you're signing.
