My review is mixed here, only because it seems like since I moved to center square, the City of Albany and Albany Parking Authority have made it more difficult for residents who pay very high taxes, to park in our neighborhoods. From adding pay parking on North Swan street and taking free spots away from residents, to not monitoring temporary no parking signs in from of residences, and still towing cars, even when the sign was removed. That sign is the responsibility of the owner and Parking Authority to ensure it is where it should be, and if it is not, then DO NOT tow a car, that is technically parked legally. I would have given less than 3 stars, but the Quakenbush garage took care of my car for only $135/month, when I was away for an extended period of time, and is the best service for the price and location, compared to other garages locally.

I want to specifically call out Mr. Malcom Dobbs for outstanding customer service provided over the phone on 9/25/23. Mr. Dobbs picked up the phone a few minutes after closing hours, when computers apparently could no longer be accessed, so all the support needed to be verbal.I won't get into the details, but he acted the way you'd hope all humans do. Just very helpful and personal, like I was talking to a friend. If all customer support professionals approached the work like Mr. Dobbs, the world would be a better place. I am from out of state and this interaction truly gave me a great appreciation of Albany.

You better know every single regulation for your street or parking, cause these guys are unrelenting. Also minimum tickets can be like $50. These guys gouge you.

I moved to Albany a year ago and i am moving out in a month. I've never been to a city that was so unwelcoming. The lack of parking is a prime example of that

A little hard to find. Go down the side street. Plenty of parking right in downtown.

So much for humanity. Let’s issue this guy two parking tickets in one night during the Covid-19 pandemic on a residential street. Must me really important to be out and about writing tickets. Welcome to leftist Albany where there a fee, ticket, permit, or a registration for everything and anything. Soon you’re gonna need a ticket to go to the bathroom or go out in public.

Serves the purpose Some really Great Public Service Officers Barbara and Jason. Can't understand why the city won't let them enforce Disability Parking in off street lots.Kaiser Lexie and RNAMASTE

delete this is where you get your pass from the parking meter system with the key but they don't use that system anymore as I'll pay it the terminal and leave it on your dash so don't really need to go there anymore

This organization is a joke. They don't care about you and will make sure you know it. Do not park here if you ever want to get anywhere on time. Some of their garages do not allow motorcycles. There are no signs to indicate this, you'll just receive a note threatening to tow you if they see your bike again. They conveniently do not tell you motorcycles are not allowed when signing up for a parking contract. They like to shut down the fire escapes for months at a time with no information as to why, until lawyers who also park in the garage start threatening them with notes taped to the exits.Their new (and seemingly very expensive) license plate detection systems have proven to be terrible, making exiting the garage during times of congestion exceedingly frustrating. Two exits were eliminated in favor of one, so all it takes is one person whose plate doesn't read - and you aren't getting out any time soon. Real smart move guys.I have also been locked out of this garage when it was below zero because their electronic entry systems were apparently down, and they didn't BOTHER to tell their customers. This was on a weekend and there was no staff in the garage. I had to go find a place to hang out and stay warm for nearly an hour until someone came to let me in.This organization is the epitome of your cold, uncaring, and crass government run conglomerate. Nobody here cares about you, and if this place disappeared I don't think anyone in the city of Albany would shed a tear. I'm assuming it's just corrupt and run by someone's cousin at this point.Unfortunately there are no covered parking alternatives in the city, except the ones run by this terrible organization. Amazon HQ2 might have been considered for Albany until they realized that the APA would probably ruin things.
