“Extremely good, friendly, prompt service. I have two young kids and a piece of metal in my tire. I was able to make an appointment same day. I brought my kids with a stroller thinking it would take a while for them to check the tires. The employees ensured me it would be quick to evaluate the tires and no need to go for a walk. They were correct, my girls loved watching the mechanics work on the car and check tire. It ended up being a simple fix which was done right away. We were done in about 30min or less and my kids were entertained the entire time. The employees were great and now my tire is fixed.”
“I came to this shop after my old mechanic retired. These guys did a full checkup on my car which other places were trying to charge me for. I thought it was ridiculous that anyone wanted to charge for that but here we are in 2024. At least Brandon and Alyssa believe in running an honest business. Was pleased by their young, enthusiastic personalities.”

“This place was fantastic! I blew a tire on my travel trailer on the Thruway And I was towed to Mahwah To a tire place that was supposed to have what I needed. When we got there, they didn’t and I called at least a dozen local tire places with zero success. I called this place and the guy was so helpful although he did not have the exact tire I needed. He was able to sell me another one that was very similar. I ended up buying two which meant I needed to drive back to my trailer. Install the one tire bring the trailer back to him to install the second tire. The place stayed open an hour later for a complete stranger and saved my family vacation!!!! Had it not been for them my travel Trailer would have been sitting in the middle of a grocery store parking lot certainly overnight. My food would have spoiled and we never would have been able to get back on the road the same evening. Good people still exist! Luckily I live pretty local and will be using them from here on out!”

“A few weeks ago, my car had multiple sensors go off for a brake system failure. I’m new to the area and didn’t know where to go. I called a few mechanics nearby and had no luck, each said they had a 3-4 week wait. When I called Community Auto & Tire, Randy was respectful, attentive and extremely accommodating. When I dropped my car off, Jack was friendly and helpful at the desk and made the process seamless. My car was fixed and ready to go all in one day with reasonable prices and quality work. “This Mavis location is the absolute best. Led by the great Manager Kelvin, Kaliph & an amazing mechanic in Marcos. They were able to get my Honda Accord in immediately for a full brake job including calipers. They had my car done in a very reasonable amount of time & their prices were excellent. I had a small Scooter Inspection Job of just $ 6/-, but the dealing of these people with customers was worth more than $6000/-. I felt myself on 7th sky being there.
I was extremely happy and came back riding my scooter and singing all praises for them.

“I was visiting family nearby & blew a rear brake line on my 2012 Subaru Outback. I live upstate near Lake George, rear brake line was rusted & leaking brake fluid from our severe winters road salt. Dropped car off at 10 AM, Chris contacted me later & said it was a bigger project as several lines needed replacement. Car was ready next day about 10 AM for driving back north. “Found a nail in one of my tires so I went to Mavis in Oakland to fix it since they installed all the tires. I have used Mavis for years as they have installed tires on all of my vehicles and trailers. They are always courteous, friendly and reliable. I will continue to use them but I have to complain about the price. They found a nail in my tire. They plugged it. They didn’t take the tire off of the truck and patch it they just jacked the truck up pulled out the nail and plugged it. The price $50.00. I mean come on that’s insane. 5 minutes of work for $50.00. If they actually took it off and patched it like I wanted since the tires have 6,000 miles I wouldn’t be worried about the price but a plug for $50.00 is just insane and unreasonable. I then asked how much an oil change would be and was quoted $140.00. It’s a Chevy Suburban that uses conventional oil so $140.00 is completely insane. I understand everything is expensive in today’s world but this is getting out of hand.”
“This place is absolutely amazing. I drive an older car (thankfully under warranty), which I had to bring in 3 times in the span of a month for upkeep. They replaced my water pump and radiator the first time, my suspension the second, and my brake system the third time. The car drives like it’s brand new and it was so refreshing to go to a mechanic who looked at me and treated me as an adult rather than acting as if I was a young girl with no idea what I was talking about. Quick service and did everything right the first time. 11/10”
