The place seems to have many happy guests who want to rough it and prioritize the animals and farm environment. Fine.I however am critical and protested the $260 charges for a "sophisticated" room with a "new" bed, as advertised for Mr Ed’s Cabin Like a few other reviewers, we expected different things, particularly of the bed, which was soft, overly worn, sunken in the middle, not usable (as reported 3 years ago) and we left immediately. Do not expect a firm, new bed suitable for the middle aged or older back. Cleaning was not great, due to dust and animal hair. Some of the furniture really looks awful and unusable. The photos show the newly painted area, but most of the area doesn't look that way at all. We saw clutter and garbage cans. I posted this so that the place will succeed with those who don't want what I was lead to expect for $260 a night. When people are fully informed, then everyone will be happier. And many others who stayed have been very happy.

What we saw on line was not what it was or what we got. While there we got a hello and goodbye. No one introduced themselves and when we asked about certain things the site said we were met with an attitude and told that what we read was impossible.

Let's begin at the beginning. This place is a little slice of heaven. We have stayed at Tim's Country and Farm Casitas 3 times in the past 4 years. My wife and our 2 kids live in the NYC and Tim's Farm has been our escape fromthe travails of the city. The farm is set on 30 acres and you will find sheep, a goat,2 rabbits, 2 horses, chicken and sometimes ducks or geese. The stars of the farm, are the five friendly dogs who play with the kiddos all day long! You will also find flowers, bees, butterflies, and a beautiful landscape of a meadowbordered by pine trees. In the early morning hours you might have some deer grazing in the flower meadow. And on a clear night the sky is alive with stars. We stay in the one bedroom apartment (Tack room) and find it comfortable with a new sofa bed, large bathroom, and a fully functioning kitchen with a gas range stove. On the property is a creek (although, due to drought conditions throughout Hudson Valley the creek is currently drying out), which normally has a swimming hole.Tim will give you your space and simultaneously provide help with a camp fire (smores),hot tub, etc.The area is beautiful as the farm is located a short distance away from Lake Minnewaska,Mohonk Mountain, New Paltz, and great small towns like Rosendale and Marbletown. If you are looking for a rural retreat, love animals, don't mind getting your trail runners dirtyTim's farm is the place for you! I had a 3 night reservation with my boyfriend and dog that I was very excited about. Shortly before our scheduled stay I learned my dad had terminal cancer and I needed to fly to Florida to be with him and couldn't take advantage of our stay. I immediately called the farm to try to reschedule our stay. Tim answered and said I needed to fill out the request on their online form. I did so but no one ever responded to me. I called many other times with no answer or way to leave a message. I also texted and emailed over and over. Tim and Beth have completely ignored all my communications. Meanwhile my days have come and gone and I still have no resolution to this and Tim and Beth still have my money. I have been trying for 3 weeks relentlessly. This is a horribly run business. Beware of this place.

Lots of loving animals and people. Although the owner was plenty helpful our housing was out of commission before our stay and it showed... Overall it was a peaceful stay and beautiful memories were made.

Had a great weekend stay. The owner Tim was so nice and you can tell he has a wonderful relationship with all the animals on the farm. We loved meeting the horses, rabbits, sheep, and especially the two dogs who have their run of the farm.

I came to stay in March and it was still a bit freezing out. That did not stop the fun activities on the farm. I stayed in the Teepee for a few days and I absolutely loved it! The Teepee is much larger then expected. The care takers of the property are also really amazing! The animals were really sweet and loving. Made too many everlasting memories here and I highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing place if you're looking to relax and just be one with the elements. Mr Tim is just delightful and most accommodating. We are looking forward to making this a family tradition for us.

We had such a wonderful stay at Country and Farm Casitas. We stayed in the apartment and we're very comfortable there. It was right by the hot tub and we occasionally would walk out to see a horse getting a snack on the lawn out front. There's an amazing presence of animals here and including wild fauna, such as salamanders. Animals were all very relaxed and clearly happily enjoying the life provided by our host Tim. Tim was a great host and any need we had he was to respond. The hot tub is really nice and has a lot of great functioning bells and whistles that made the hot tub a great way to spend a cold Halloween night. There's also lots of other guests and we were able to make friends while here as well! Definitely a great place to stay and set up base if you're going to go hiking or just want to explore the local area. Highly recommend it.

Chanced upon this place at the last minute and I was very lucky because someone cancelled their reservation.Stayed here for one night and my experience is amazing. The farm is secluded and away from the road.We were greeted by Tim who owns the farm and he was warm and pleasant. The tipi is huge and there’s so many nooks you can go and take nice pictures. It was a little chilly at night but that completed the experience. I had the best sleep. And of course, the best host was Clair (retriever) who followed us everywhere, toured us around the farm and even came in the morning to wake up my son with kisses.I highly recommend this place and I plan on visiting again with the rest of my family.

It is a beautiful and wonderful place for kids. The doggies are so adorable and they will welcome you and play with you no end and all the animals including goats and horses are so friendly. It is just ab unbelievable place! Breakfast was delicious and the accommodation was beautiful. Highly recommended.
