Retired full time motor home traveler for over 15 years. I decided to come to Truth or Consequences for a year to recover from recent heart surgery. I had visited this area several times in my travels. I picked this park because it is one of the few with trees as most of the area is desert. I was confronted by a man who identified himself as the camp host when I first inquired about this park. He told me that he paid his rent by the year in order to receive a discount. I later found out that this was not true as his wife cleaned the bathrooms in return for a deep reduction in their rent. I paid the sum of $4000 for a site which included full hook ups and 50 amp electric included for a year. (I have the receipt). One night while sitting at my computer,I heard something hit my windshield of my class A motor home. The next morning I discovered that someone had broken my windshield. This was approximately six months into my rental agreement. When I first moved into my parking site,I quickly discovered that I had no electrical service. I had to pull my power cord under my motor home and share a 50 amp service with another person. I even had to fabricate my own sewage discharge as the one I was provided was to high to properly drain. I once ordered an item from Amazon which was delivered by the USPS to the Shipping Corner. (Another business owned by the park) Tracking verified that my package had been delivered. The person behind the counter told me that the package had never been delivered. I proceeded to the main USPS postal annex on Date street where I was assured by the post master that the package had indeed been delivered as it was scanned before delivery. When I returned to get my package, the person behind the counter promptly put the package on the counter. Holding his hand firmly on the package and counter in order for me to force it out of his hand. Twice I attempted to wash my clothes at the 3rd street laundromat. (Another business owned by the park) The first time, the machine went through the wash cycle without water. Not my idea of dry cleaning. The second time, the door of the washer would not unlatch. I attempted to get behind it as to unplug it. It was hard wired and took 15 minutes for it to open. Thankfully a new laundromat opened a short distance away in Williamsburg. This park was always visited by the police. I once notified the police of an incident where a man got out of a van threatening another individual with a gun. I showed the recording as I have video cameras. I saved the video. I decided on leaving this park six weeks early to prevent any further damage to my motor home.

My family and I have been moving around the country for the last year and a half. We’ve stayed at multiple parks throughout that time and let me tell you, we’ve found our home here. We’ll be staying here as long as we’re allowed to. I see some unjustified complaints about a few things and it irritates me to no end. That’s why even though I never write these reviews, but my experience here has inspired me.Let me put it this way; this is the first park I’ve ever been in where I feel comfortable letting my two young boys run around. The people in this park are wonderful, kind, welcoming, and best of all they all look out for each other. This includes people who are only staying for a short period. There’s a comfortable atmosphere in this park similar to being on a camping trip with friends and family.I’ve heard from locals that this area didn’t always have the most stellar reputation, but from my own experience as a newcomer to the entire state, that is no longer the case. The owner has gone above and beyond for this park and it’s guests. The entire park is fenced in securely and there are gates in the front with one main entrance. The lighting is great. The internet has multiple bands of both 2.4 and 5.0ghz so the bandwidth doesn’t get bottlenecks regardless of the number of users(Which is a first for me. No other park had a set up like this. I love it). There are toilet and shower facilities that are keypad secured. I’m a night owl so sometimes I go over there at 2-3am and it’s always safe and spotless. The park also offers your own mailbox which is a huge plus. One thing that really sets this park apart is the owner. I’ve never met a park owner this willing to go out of his way for his guests. I’m talking actually building things(such as ramps, steps, ac support struts, the list goes on.), and supplying nearly anything you need if he can(The guy dug us a new sewage outlet for our black tank to accommodate how we wanted our RV and he’s building us a fence to help us with the kids.)This park offers a genuine family and community oriented environment which is becoming increasingly rare. The people are wonderful and the park is peaceful. If you’re on the fence or even think it’s not a good fit, come on down to the park and I’m sure you’ll change your mind. You’ll love it here.

We lived here for 8 months. Owner really cares about the park and upgraded so many things. New security fences, 5x5g wireless routers for best internet in the town. Clean bathroom and showers. On site maintenance to help you park or reposition your rig.Community was the best. So many good folks we call friends and would just hang out, play board games, and cook out during the days off. All this at very reasonable rates. We had to depart cause of a job change and really going to miss this place and the people that make it great. Book early as ya can cause it fills up fast.

The owner was very easy to get ahold of but the bathrooms were trashed, the sites are very unlevel, it's nothing like the photos. On a very busy street with lots of traffic noise. Not the safest feeling place. Better than a rest stop on the highway though.

This was a very nice place to stay and super close to my job. The owner was extremely kind. It has a shower house and your own mailbox key. I was able to get all the Amazon packages I needed delivered to my door.

Gotta say this is a park in transition. Only a few transient slots. Mostly old-timers and very friendly. Trees are the best part. Lots of junk around the permanent sites. Five minute walk to the old downtown and the Rio Grande. No evidence of a creek on site. Didn’t see any facilities at all except power/water/sewer at the site.
