My dogs love everyone here and want to stay and go into the back. Dr. Dan was great, he asked questions and listened, truly wanting to know my pets and their history. We will continue to see Dr. Dan and the wonderful staff as long as we reside in this area.

Can only share my experience. We are traveling and our dog underwent emergency abdominal surgery for blout at a clinic where we are not regular customers without any issues with not being a regular customer. The incision was closed using staples. We will be in the Taos area at the time the staples should be removed. We called about 10 days in advance of needing an appointment. The person answering the phone told us that since we were not regular patients of theirs, they would not help us. Period. No discussion. No so sorry. No explanation, no nothing other than we were not current customers of theirs and they would not help us.
It is not so much that they couldn't fit us in, as it was the cold unsympathetic attitude. I have seen many vets in my days. Almost all people who work in veterinary clinics are very compassionate people, which is why I think they work with and help animals to begin with. This was definitely not the case with Taos Veterinary Clinic. Not today. Is this an indication of the type of care they give in general, or is this just the individual answering the phone? Either way, we have choices and Taos Veterinary Clinic would definitely not be mine. There are other clinics in Taos.

I came in because my dog had damaged his dew claw and appreciated everyone that I interacted with from the front desk team to the vet tech and veterinarian. They made me feel comfortable and explained everything to me thoroughly. My dog is back to his happy self and I have the Taos Vet Team to thank for that!
