Unbelieveable experience today after seeing Delta at Salon X for years - had a 10:30 appt with Margot. After waiting patiently from 10:28 until 10:43 on their stairs for her to arrive, I called to let them know I would reschedule since they were not there, only to have her answer and explain that they were now in the front. As I asked about where I was parked and prepared to walk around she said since it was "close" to their cancellation time of 15 minutes (my call at 13 minutes post appt time) she stated she had another appt at 12:30 and could not accomodate me. I was beyond shocked. Truly unprofessional, no sincere apology for the confusion, no recognition of my long wait for them, knocking at the door, no acknowledgment that I had already been very gracious about moving the appt at her request as she had failed to order supplies in time for me. Clearly, this ownership/management change is not for the best.

Margo is the best. She is great with colors and cuts. I live in Dallas but discovered her on a trip to Taos. I go back every 3 months to see her and she hooks me up with color I can take home to do my roots during visits. Her prices are better than Dallas Texas salons as well. I will never go anywhere else. Lovely salon and a fantastic stylist. Ask for Margo! She is also the owner.

Margo did such a great job with my super long, thick hair. We did highlights, low lights and shaped things up and it is absolute perfection.

I absolutely love the job Margo does on my hair. Salon X is the only place in Taos I trust fully with my hair! Definitely suggest if you want your hair done right.

broooke is great . margo, who is good, cancellled my last 4 apptsby text less than 1/2 hour before my apts. knowing i had to get a ride. one was because family coming in town. one because of food poisoning. one because of flu. one because of running late. stick with delta or brooke. margo will cancel

It's difficult for me to make hair appointments as I travel for work and I am rarely home. I typically put the color on myself which isn't the best look. I happen to have some time off of work today and lucky for me salon X had a cancellation. What a great place! My stylus Delta, was fabulous. Friendly, professional, and excellent at her job. I had a haircut, color and new style. She did a superb job. I love my color and cut.

I love Salon X and my stylist Margot. I am letting my gray hair come in and growing out the old color without cutting it all off! Margot has seamlessly blended the lower half of my hair to match my natural color growing out without covering up my sparkly, new gray! The Kevin Murphy color line used at the salon is very long lasting and smells amazing. Zero harsh chemicals or strong offensive smells found at most top salons. Natalia is a gorgeous hair styling goddess! My hair is at an awkward growing-out stage, but she sculpted my chopped up mop into a masterpiece. SalonX used to be great, but nowadays the owner claims to be “honestly exhausted” and without “a clear head to deal with much.” I’ve been coming here for years and am saddened and surprised by the lack of accountability and quality in the work. It’s hard to find good services in Taos, especially good personal care services, so the loss of SalonX as a dependable business is particularly disheartening. ?To claim to have let me go because they let me down pretty much says it all….yikes!Services: Shampoo & conditioning
