Loved this hotel. Friendly and comfortable- not pretentious at all. And the breakfast buffet was delicious with very good coffee.

Our group had a great stay at the El Pueblo Lodge with three rooms. El Pueblo is time warp back to the heyday of roadside motels, and amazingly it has been very well maintained over the years. Welcoming staff. The rooms are large, comfortable, colorful and even have working fireplaces. Toss in some cornhole and horseshoes and a great breakfast and this is a great place to stay.

Funky little hotel motel. Rooms are spacious, some have a fireplace. Lots of green space, dog relief area and an awesome pool and hot tub. BBQ grills available, corn hole and horse shoe pits. And....an awesome breakfast every morning. The staff is awesome too. I won't stay anywhere else.

Like being at grandma's house: the buildings are old, it's showing its age, but it is clean, comfortable, welcoming, warm, the rooms are very large, the grounds beautiful with lots of seating and tall, mature, trees that provide lots of shade, and the amenities such as the afternoon snacks and morning breakfast are great. Within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. Overall, we will definitely stay here again and will bring family and friends next time we're in Taos.
Rooms: Large
Walkability: Close to many restaurants and shops
Noteworthy details: Beautiful green grounds

Room was spacious, but definitely outdated and there was a faint unpleasant odor in the room. I found the bed comfortable but my husband could not rest, it was too firm for him. Staff was extremely pleasant and the breakfast was very good - I absolutely loved the chili.
I doubt we'd stay here again because my husband had such a hard time sleeping but if I ever found myself traveling solo in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Absolutely perfect hotel! Our room was large and comfortable, the service excellent, and the grounds immaculate.
Out of all the hotels I stayed at in a 10 day roadtrip this was by far the favorite! The breakfast alone was incredible but to actually be able to have a restful night's sleep is important too ?.
Definitely make this your lodging if in the Toas area. Quiet, walkable, perfect.
Rooms: Large and comfortable
Walkability: Easy walk into downtown with a restaurant & bar across the street
Food and drinks: Hot breakfast included

For context we are a family of 5. A 12 year old in a wheelchair, a 5 year old and almost 2 year old. It can be difficult to find spaces that accommodate all our needs.
We got a corner room near the pool. The grass space right outside the room was perfect for the two younger ones to play outside. There was construction going on for the sidewalk right outside the property. I wonder if that area would also have been fenced off, which would've been perfect. The room we were in had a direct walking path to the sidewalk which I wish would've been more handicap accessible. It took the two of us to lift his chair over each step.
The pool area was a very inviting and accessible space for us. In our two nights there we went swimming 4 times! I appreciated the pool towels and the size of them.
We got a room with double beds. Some might call this place dated. I would NOT. This place is a VIBE! I couldn't get over how beautiful it was here. The vigas in the room, the fireplace, the sink space, "kitchen" area, all the nooks and spaces to hangout. It was GIVING.
As if that weren't enough, they had breakfast. Cereal, eggs, tamales, papas, fruit, and waffles just to give an example of the variety. There were so many places to sit. The outdoor seating space is where it's at. It's set up buffet style and then Linda comes around with a pot of coffee and creamer to top off if you want. I wanted to use the barbecue space in the back but we didn't get the chance.
I didn't realize check out was at 11. They were gracious enough to give us a late checkout and even let us stay awhile longer to get in a last dip.
We stumbled into this place and I'm so thankful we did. I loved ALL OF IT. It was our first time here but not our last.

A charming, well-maintained, and comfy motel. We enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere, a nice breakfast, and the easy walk to the square -- the hot tub was especially welcome after our four day hike in the Pecos Wilderness.

Location rating is below 5-stars only because city road construction complicated traffic and access.
The staff is great and took great care of our needs.
The morning complimentary breakfast bar is outstanding! And the bonus is the available outdoor seating in the backyard.
