Front desk clerk was awesome. The place is old, but it's supposed to be. Loved it. Breakfast was simple but plenty. Beds were comfy.

First - we didn't end up staying as we planned. There was no one at the desk to great us. Furniture in the lobby was dirty, carpet down the halls was dirty. Room smelled strong of disinfectant. Tub was rusty and chipping. The only heating for a 3 room suite was 1 space heater, and the room was very cold. We didn't trust we would be comfortable and they kindly gave us our money back. They need a major renovation!

Charming historic hotel. A renovation would be a good idea soon. The linens and bedding are clean. The rooms have window A/C units. You can't open for fresh air in some rooms. The walls throughout the hotel are covered with interesting wall-hangings. The manager (Robert) is very helpful and friendly. We saw three rooms before we settled on the one without a musty smell. The carpeting seems to have soaked smells of past smokers and/or water leaks.

I stayed here three nights in 2 different rooms. The first, I stayed in the corner room where I had a view of broadway out one window and Bullard out the other window. I switched to a more modest room after the first night, but that room was great also. The decor of this 140-year-old hotel is remarkable. The staff is amiable. They helped me arrange a shuttle to the airport. It was a great experience.

Just left the Palace hotel in Silver Coty NM, and they tell me that my room is no longer available. It was 5 pm when I tried to check in. I called around 11 am that morning to see if my room was still available and they said yes. I booked the room weeks before. After I learned about the room no longer available, I spoke with the manager Robert. He had a nonchalant attitude and didn't even apologize for putting us in this situation. He did not care that we were in a city without a room. All of the hotels were full. I was totally disappointed in the lack of help from this manager. I do not recommend this hotel due to the unprofessionaliam from management. The least they could have done is call us before we tried to check in. Management did not attempt to problem solve this.

Highly recommend for Old World comfort, charm, and grace. Front desk host and manager Robert bent over backwards to make our stay memorable, welcoming, and inviting. Due to covid-19 they've had to defer some maintenance. When we first arrived we had to switch rooms for a minor window issue. He and his staff went above and beyond to "make it up to us." Robert is very friendly and a fount of local knowledge. Three thumbs up!

This is a nice old hotel with very comfortable furniture and actual plates and silver ware. Robert is an excellent host and told us where to get good food and things to check out around town.

The Azurite Suite is a perfect mix of luxury and local nostalgia. We have thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Robert was very accommodating and let us know steps had been taken to keep us safe during Covid.

This place is a complete gem with spacious, unique, and eclectic rooms, lots of cool, quiet public spaces to sit with a book or laptop, and really friendly management who love the history of the place. If you're looking to go back in time and immerse yourself in Silver City, this is totally a must-stay-at.

Great location in the historic district within walking distance to food, shopping, and drinks. Old building full of antique charm. We loved our room! 5 stars.

Awesome historic hotel with very comfortable furnishings. The young man who checkedus in was extremely nice and accommodating. Offered to show us the room we wanted straight away without our asking. I especially liked the street level suite because it was so convenient to unload our stuff. The towels are nice and plentiful to go along with a huge bathroom and nice shower. If you are lucky enough to get to Silver City -- The Palace Hotel is your place!

The Azurite Suite is huge, clean, and a beautiful mix of modern convenience and nostalgic charm. The Palace is located right downtown with breweries, restaurants, bookstores, art studios, a park, shops, the local co-op, and anything else you could want in easy walking distance. Robert is friendly and accommodating and feels more the perfect host than a hotel manager. The Palace is the perfect home away from home for a visit to the Silver City area. My only word of caution is come early on a Saturday because lots of the shops aren't open late.

I lived here for four months in 1978. I loved every minute of it. Miss Peyton managed it at the time. My digs were in the NW corner, Bath, kitchen, sitting room, and bedroom. I hated to leave, but my Silver City Hotshot days were over, and I had to return to Montana and school.
