Dr. Kelly is a a gifted oncologist - a magician, really. My beloved dog Midge has fought skin cancer for 6 years, since the age of 5. In the past couple of years, the mast cell tumors started erupting with increasing frequency and size. After multiple, futile surgeries at other clinics, it became a frustrating and expensive game of whack-a-mole, with one new tumor replacing the other. I was sure Midge would be gone in a year, especially when tumors starting popping up in difficult-to-operate areas like behind the eyes and along her jawline - dangerously close to lymph glands. That was 9 months ago and Midge is not only cancer-free, but stronger and more energetic than before the treatments at VCC. Dr. Kelly used a mix of Eastern and Western medicine to find the right cocktail for my Midge, always being careful NOT to make her feel worse with side effects. She and her entire staff are compassionate, dedicated professionals who were just as attuned to my fears as to my dog's. On top of being very experienced, Dr. Kelly is super well-informed about the latest protocols and always communicates clearly and patiently in a way that eliminates the mystery and fear. But most importantly Midge is going stronger than ever and shows no sign of slowing down. I've known others who've had the same miraculous experience with Dr. Kelly at VCC, including the coworker who referred me to her. Santa Fe is lucky to have her!

Quoted my wife $1000.00 charged her $2,000. Some context: I called them months in advance to see if they could administer a routine shot that my autoimmune compromised puppy gets monthly. I followed up several times to make sure they had all the records they needed. The day of the appointment came. They ran tests they didn’t need to. It’s costs every other vet I’ve visited $300-$400. They’re main interest is your pocket books. They snuck in a $325 charge which they refunded to me the next day after I went over every item on the invoice with the tech. My dog has to have back to back appointments for her injections. So I received two invoices back to back. The 1st day 9/27 I received a charge for chemical waste of $35. The 2nd day the cost of the same itemized charge for chemical waste increased to $60. So I recommend going on Thursdays as the chemical waste is cheaper on Thursdays. The lead vet showed up 30 minutes late to our appointment… I don’t like posting reviews this negative but I’ve never felt so taken advantage of.

Dr. Kelley is an amazing veterinary oncologist. Our dog has a Sarcoma tumor in her neck and after surgery and chemo she's still a happy healthy dog going on 13 months now. Dr. Kelley is kind and compassionate and very knowledgeable in her field. We are so lucky she opened this clinic in Santa Fe. For those folks who had a questionable experience I wonder what they are comparing it too? Of course unfortunately nothing is perfect. I feel for your suffering but please check all the wonderful posts about the pet care from Dr Kelly and think that perhaps unfortunately you had an experience that you didn't like but has everything in your life been perfect until you saw her? I'm guessing no. Please don't turn others with sick pets away from the possibility of having their pet around for a few more years.

I love this vet, Dr. Kelly is amazing in so many ways, we come from Albuquerque just to see her, I value her opinion highly and greatly appreciate her knowledge, she’s one of the very few vets I can say is credible and actually cares about the animals. Will always recommend 100%

Please read before taking your animal to this facility! We took our dog to see Dr. Kelly on 12/8. This was based on tests forwarded by our regular vet and a phone conversation with Dr. Kelly. Per a phone conversation with Dr. Kelly we decided to treat our dog with electrochemotherapy and gave us a rough estimate of $2000 for the treatment. Dr. Kelly stated she had the test results from our regular vet and told us not to worry about anything other than taking care of our dog until the visit. My wife took our dog in on 12/8 as discussed. We had a noon appointment as is was a 3:45 minute drive from our home. To begin with they were 1:15 minutes late for our appointment. As the appointment began my wife was told they were going to run a couple more tests which she thought may have been standard procedure. A couple hours later my wife was presented a $2200 bill with no electrochemotherapy performed. What she was charged for was many additional tests and several "supplements" most of which contain the same nutrients that our in our dogs prescription dog food. My wife was told it was imperative that our dog was brought back the next week for electrochemotherapy. My wife was very confused as she thought that is what she was there for. I was on a flight home so she could not reach me to discuss. As for the required visit the next week, I began attempting contact Dr. Kelly on Friday 12/9 as again she said it was imperative that the dog be seen this week. I made attempts every day for 8 straight days to contact Dr. Kelly about this required visit and never received a response. I was able to get ahold of someone at her office and she told me everyone had quit so they were behind. To this date I have received no contact, test results, or any communication from her office. For someone that put on the appearance of being so concerned about the health of our animal I find this experience to be unbelievable. I will be contacting the New Mexico Board of Veterinary Medicine to file a formal complaint. Please protect yourself and your animals from being taken advantage of.

After seeing 5 different veterinarians, including 3 emergency vets over Memorial day weekend, not one could definitively figure out what was wrong with our husky who was having trouble breathing. One emergency vet started us on the right path with antibiotics. However, we decided to take him to Veterinary Cancer Care to get an ultrasound and an echo-cardiogram. Dr Kelly was able to diagnose Arthur as having developed pneumonia. She quickly was able to assess and treat him, and within hours he was behaving normally and breathing easily. He is improving each day since then. Thank you so much Dr. Kelly!!! On the same day other people told us he needed to stay in 24 hour critical care, you saved our dog!

I feel Dr. Kelly is very thorough and compassionate about our fur babies well being. My baby girl is doing so good after treatment at Dr. Kelly's clinic. My vet here in Colorado didn't give us any hope for my dog but with the combined treatment from Arizona Cancer Center and Dr. Kelly she is still with us and doing great.

don’t go to this place for unless you’re prepared to spend thousands! they first gave us an estimate of $880 for a UTI treatment and tooth extraction for my cat, made us think she had bladder stones and needed surgery so did x-rays and ultrasound (quoted us $1500 total for that), then found nothing on the ultrasound. at the register they tried to charge us $2200. we ended up spending $1900. dr kelly was very unclear about my cat’s aftercare plan, could not stay in the room with us although i made it clear i still had a lot of questions. when i asked what to feed her she told me i should go to a local raw food shop and “do my own research.” when i spend this much on a visit for an uncomplicated UTI i expect the veterinarian to do the research for me! thankfully my husband and i were able to afford it but i can’t imagine the devastation this would cause for someone not as financially stable as we are, especially when the actual cost is $500+ more than the provided estimate. yelp reviews say my experience is not unique. wouldn’t go here again even as a last resort

Dr. Kelly and her entire team are amazing! I can't say enough about this facility, the warmth and caring they provided to our Whippet Wagyu in treating his cancer. We are so fortunate to have this quality of care in Santa Fe.

I can‘t say enough about Dr Kelly’s knowledge, compassionate & individualized cancer care. The awesome techs and friendly front office!Cooper is undergoing treatment for Lymphoma. When he was diagnosed elsewhere it was devastating news. Cooper is doing great and for all of the treatments and chemo the environment doesn’t stress him out!I will Also use this clinic going forward for all of my Vetrinary needs!,The large clinic I used in the past was like a factory, no personal caring that is so important to me when choosing care for my beloved dogs!Thank you Dr Kelly Lana and whole staff at Vetrinary Cancer Care!

They are kind, caring , and thorough . They truly care about your pet and do everything possible to insure your fur baby is taken care of. Our Rootbeer had major surgery done by the wonderful surgeon there and they made the experience for us and Our Rootbeer as gentle and comforting as possible. They know a lot about pet diets and treatment for your pet’s condition. Dr Kelly makes sure your fur baby is treated accordingly and finds the best method of treatment that will benefit your fur baby. She is AMAZING!! The entire staff there is wonderful and we can’t thank them enough for everything they have done.
