My dog Basil & I are new to Santa Fe and we were looking for a groomer who can trim Basil’s nails. Basil is extremely reserved and timid of grooming places and vet clinics. He’s highly sensitive.
I was so pleased to be greeted by Dakota and experience his gentleness & patience with Basil. He took time to get to know him and figure out the best way to go about rendering the service. Once we determined it would be best to get him on the table & restrained, Dakota allowed me to assist with holding Basil so that my presence with him would be reassuring and comforting for what was otherwise stressful & scary for Basil.
Dakota was quick yet thorough at trimming Basil’s nails, and, to Basil’s relief, the whole ordeal was over in a jiffy.
Thank you Dakota! We hope to see you again!

Just wow! They took my dog all day to have him look worse than when I do it myself!! The owner mentioned if he needed some other things fixed to bring him back in…you had him all day and charge a premium. Yes he did need a lot cut off I don’t know if his nails were even trimmed. Joke of a place!!! DO NOT GO HERE THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE, MADE MY CUTE DOG LOOK UGLY!!!

Good job on our hound. Pleasant staff. They do not return phone calls. They have too many clients for the staff. It cost $90 and they want us in there every six weeks!

So grateful for Turquoise Tails. I have been taking my dog there for about 3 years or so. She’s timid and old and they treat her so well. They are patient with her and she comes home so clean and happy. What a great group of people. They are always so friendly, even when super busy with all those adorable dogs! Thank you for your business here in Santa Fe!

Do NOT go to this groomer. They lied about a dog being bit by another dog and didn't tell the owner what happened. Animal control needs to be notified. Beware!

Please.. Please do not take your dogs to this place! In the early summer time I couldn't get my dogs into their regular Petco groomer they were very booked up so I took them to Turquiose trails. What a horrible mistake!!! When I picked them up it was clear the haircuts were horrible. I just couldn't believe how awful They looked and wondered what had happened? They just got groomed today and now I know the extent of what happened to them that day back in June. It is now clear that they were traumatized by Turquoise Tails. It wasn't just a very bad haircut but a damaging, hurtful experience. I know this now because they have returned to their past groomers and displayed way out fearful and problematic behavior that wasn't present before this!!! Now my dogs are traumatized. They never feared grooming before. I beg you not to take your dogs to these people.
