This store is conveniently located off the Santa Fe square. We looked for a Native American necklace on the Plaza without luck. Then we found True West. Kellie did and exceptional job of educating and showing us the wide selection and possible combinations of necklaces. Although it was difficult to decide, she helped us narrow our selections down to two. We bought one beautiful and versatile necklace at a reasonable price compared to other shops in the area. Highly Recommended and be sure to ask for Kellie.

This is a review of their website. Contrary to the Gallery`s website they sell carvings that are of non- Zuni, non-Native American, non-Southwestern origin. The website does not indicate this. Be aware that the carvings sold by "Artifactual" are actually made in Bali, Indonesia.

I will start with complimenting the beautiful collection of jewelry and art in the store and the great customer service I received. However, the necklace I purchased completely fell apart after four days, despite being taken care of. It was disheartening to see four hundred dollars just fall all over the floor from my neck without even owning the piece for a week. Since I am out of state, I anticipate there is not much I can do other than take the loss :(

I am so glad that I popped into True West Gallery on a recent chilly Saturday afternoon. I was greeted by an amazing selection of art and jewelry, and delightful service from the sales staff and one of the co-owners. Then, after I made my decision, they went out of their way to ensure I found the proper, custom framing resource here in town for two of my purchases. True West will be on my go-to list each and every future Santa Fe visit.

I ordered an expensive statue from the picture on their website only to find out after paying that that piece had been sold and that they were going to substitute a yet to be created replica by the same artist. All fine art is unique and I wanted exactly what I ordered. They gave me a very hard time before finally issuing a refund. BUYER BEWARE!

This is a beautiful store with lots of different interesting items. The owners are VERY nice and helpful, and knowledgeable about their items, and do not pressure you. They have some awesome things you will not see elsewhere. This gallery is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the short walk.
