No out of town visitor we host can miss our walk up Canyon Road. I have to admit that the highlight is always Tresa Vorenberg Goldsmiths - an exceptional jewelry experience. Tresa's knowledge, atunement to each client, and her own work in gold are unparalleled.And she has such an eye for representing artists who complement and enhance each other's work. We have collected pieces by Donna Burdick, Victoria Greenhood, Studio Q and Tresa's own creations of course. Little wonder that my husband turned to Tresa for suggestions for a precious 20th wedding anniversary gift: my amethyst and gold earrings have made me soooo happy! The "buzz" when i wear them has already erupted. Thank you, TVG for your care and creativity!

A long established goldsmith in Santa Fe, I frequented her website often and decided I wanted Ms. Vorenberg to design a family ring for me utilizing diamonds my great-grandmother, grandmother and mother had worn during their married lives. Tresa suggested using small irradiated colored diamonds as birthstones for my husband, two children and one grandson. The design was in a constellation form set in hammered gold. It is absolutely stunning and elicits comments even from strangers. She is a master of her craft and so easy to exchange ideas and requirements with. She also involved me in every step of the design process to ensure I got the ring I loved! I am anticipating another custom project with other family stones I have received. My wife and I walked in to take a look at the jewelry which wasn’t to our taste. The salesperson overheard our comments and immediately began a very aggressive sales pitch, telling us to try on some of the goods on display. Her approach left us feeling bullied and we left as quickly as we could. This was in complete contrast to the other galleries on Canyon Road where we felt welcomed and were encouraged to browse.

Walked in to look at the jewelry. Told my husband it looked quite delicate, I prefer chunky. Staff member overheard us and stepped in - although it was a private remark to my husband, not her - we have chunky stuff over here, let's try some on! We edged away. She then opened a cabinet and pulled something out and demanded to know if that was to my taste. Husband said he didn't like it, so she said that she had other stuff we should look at. It felt very aggressive. We said thanks but no and she turned on her heel and walked away. What an unpleasant experience.

This was a wonderful experience. Seldom do I feel the creative talent and passion when I am buying jewelry.Tresa was both, and I felt I was in the best of hands. I walked out with a beautiful necklace on my neck which I felt had my name on it. And waiting for more. This is a must stop when visiting Santa Fe.

The jewelry in the glass cases at Tresa's studio is gorgeous, but even more exceptional is Tresa's talent, graciousness, and imagination in working with a client to design a dramatically personal piece of jewelry art. I came to her with a "legacy" diamond ring bequeathed by a relative, and a vague idea of how we might use the stones in a newly crafted wedding band. Tresa listened to my concept and then created a far more nuanced, magnificent, and magical piece --- one that evoked my spirit, my husband's, and that of our love for one another. She spent time listening to our history, sharing ideas, and checking with us throughout all stages of the design process to ensure that we were pleased with how the work was progressing. In the end we were far more than pleased -- we were simply over the moon! I can only say that if you are seeking an artful genius who takes her clients' needs to heart, look no further than Tresa Vorenberg. She is a gem!

I found Tresa Vorenberg Goldsmiths online while searching to replace a lost ring, made by an artist whose work the store carries. After reaching Tresa by phone, she jumped right on the task of contacting the artist and later sending me a quote for a replacement. The warmth, friendliness and help I experienced was beyond compare. As someone else commented, the personal touch I received was amazing. We emailed each other as if we’d been lifelong friends! I do not live in New Mexico, so Tresa took great care to send me my ring in a most secure way.I hope to visit Santa Fe once this virus is a thing of the past - not only to thank this wonderful woman in person, but to also see her awesome collection of jewelry I see on the website.
