I bought online through Reverb.Great shop here, good communication from the owner and kind customer service? Still convinced the guitar I recieved was a floor model and not set-up before shipped (back off guitar was sticky, no stickers on guitar like a new PRS guitar has, some very light scratches on back from use), guitar was not polished or new looking really but I got the guitar on deep sale (like $200 off fir Christmas sale). Shipping itself was lousy but I live all the way in Michigan so quite a ways to travel for delivery.. box came extremely damaged. Guitar itself undamaged by shipping. First fret was completely dead, so took the to Firehouse Guitars who did a complete setup, pickup installation and fret work. They said the guitar wasn't like that due to traveling or acclamation but a bad setup so someone is lying or techs from Candyman are just inexperienced, maybe it was a rushed job. Guitar is now set up to perfection and ultimately a great guitar. Will I shop again from this store?? More likely in person than online.Candyman store is very nice in person and the staff is very kind. Thanks!

Whenever I visit Santa Fe I stop in this store. Staff are friendly and there is always a nice inventory of guitars and amps to explore. On my last trip, I bought a beautiful Taylor acoustic. The price was very fair. They even arranged to ship the guit to me in North Carolina. Overall, it was a very nice experience. It is nice to find a local store with lots of gear and a personalexperience.

The employees were extremely nice and were extremely helpful in helping me buy my guitar. I had recently purchased a Yamaha acoustic guitar from there, and they always have good prices on their products. I would always purchase my guitars from them, as it will help support them in making their store the best in Northern New Mexico.

I called yesterday and the person I spoke to was very good on the phone. He was able to answer all of my questions. Since Guitar Center has little in stock these days, I will probably be bringing business to The Candyman Strings & Things. So, my experience with this business has been great so far.

I love this place, but don’t get your guitar amp repaired here! Complete lack of communication, and $100 later my amp is just as broken as when I dropped it off.

Extensive supplies for kitting out your guitar and plenty of other instruments besides! Fun place to look around too.

Candyman had been so great to me.I was checking out the guitars in the acoustic room a few months ago when one of them fell and broke -- my fault completely.I told the manager -- I was ready to just pay and take the broken guitar and try to fix it on my own but they were SO cool and went the extra mile for me. I told Rand what happened and he was very kind, understanding, and helpful.I've never broken anything in a store before so that was a first for me.They appreciated I told them honestly about what happened and didn't take off (no one else was in the guitar room) --- they fixed what was a major repair for a fraction of the cost and knocked a hundred dollars off of retail price. The short summary is -- amazingly good kind people. They didn't have to do any of what they did, but they did. What could have been an unpleasant story turned into something beautiful.I recommend them highly, both their selection and their repair service. Will make sure I take all my guitars here.Everything I need, I will make the extra effort to buy at Candyman. They are not only a good store and repair service but also good people -- I recommend them highly.Thank you to Rand and the guitar master (s) who repaired my guitar!

I was hanging out in their acoustic guitar room when I dropped one of the guitars and it shattered -- my fault completely. I told Rand and he was so understanding, kind, and accommodating. It being my fault, I was ready to just pay and attempt to fix it on my own but they went the extra mile for me. Rand not only knocked off $100 but they also repaired the guitar for a tiny tiny fraction of the cost -- and it was a major, major repair. They didn't have to do any of that -- but they did. So now I'm a big fan of Candyman, will try to buy all my stuff there. And the repair service did an amazing job too, the guitar is completely playable now and it was completely shattered before. So I would recommend them highly based on that experience and I will shop there as much as I can. Thank you, Rand, my guitar repair master (s) and Candyman!

My Fender guitar that I had on consignment was stolen from the Candyman. Rand informed me that his insurance did not cover the theft even thouigh it had been stolen from their shop. Rand was very unsupportive and totally blew me off even though it was a huge financial loss for me. I also found out that the theft was not reported to the police, no theft report was filed by the Candyman. I was totally SOL and Candyman didn't care. Furthermore, the Canndman didn't have any camera footage of the theft. Long story short, don't trust the Candyman with your consignments because if anything happens, Candyman doesn't give a hoot. Youll be the one out of luck all the way around, Karma is a funny thing and Iam sure that it will come back around on the Candyman.
