Unfortunately, we had a TERRIBLE experience with Santa Kilim. We purchased a rug that we ended up needing to return. The owner, Karim, agreed to accept the return as an exchange for other items in the store. However, when we shipped the rug back, Karim refused delivery and the rug was returned to us. So we wasted $200 on shipping and still do not have our exchange.
Be aware that Santa Kilim does not take phone calls (the published number has a voice mailbox that’s full and you can’t leave a message) and the owner does not respond to emails. Good luck if you need to return an item. We’re still waiting to hear back from them despite numerous emails over many months. In the meantime, we have contacted the Attorney General’s Office of New Mexico and are following up with the Santa Fe Better Business Bureau. It appears a lawsuit may be necessary.
We would like to warn other customers about doing business with this business. Buyer beware!

Highly recommend. Customer service is top notch. Karim and staff went above and beyond. Super helpful, patient, beautiful selection, quality pieces. Refreshing to see excellent customer service these days.

Just walking in and seeing their beautiful inventory is a treat. Kalim’s explanation of the pieces adds another layer Prices are not cheap but fair… shipping of our fragile Nigerian urn was done with expert care and in a timely fashion. We’d go back again just to see what’s new

This is an incredible place with items from a multitude of places. Every item has a story behind it. If you ask the owner, he will let you know it's history. Located around the corner from the Art district, if you go, you will be satisfied and amazed.

I am sorry to write this review. I have tried calling Karim 6 times now and he has not returned my call. He took the rug I had bought from him because I was trying a new rug of his ( that he claimed was so much better than the one I had bought) - I asked him to pick up the rug because the color is not right - He has not picked up the rug and he has over $2300 of mine from the original rug that he took back to his store. Since I have given him several chances to return my call and he has not, I am posting this negative review. Now I have to go to Small Claims court because he will not willingly cooperate. I do not trust that the rug he replaced ( that I currently have) is nearly as expensive a rug as the one he took back. I do not trust this business anymore

I am writing this negative review because Karim, the owner of Santa Kilim, had not returned money that is owed to me for a rug that I gave back to him and he has not returned 6 telephone calls I made to him. On the suggestion of a friend who has done business with him over the years, I have bought 3 rugs from him. He now owes me over $2300 for a rug that I returned. I wanted to try another rug and he tried to convince me that the "new" rug is much more expensive. I asked him to pick it up because the color is not right in the room and to return my $2300 for the original rug. He will not call me back. Now I am forced to contact Small Claims Court. This is very unfortunate for a local Santa Fe business. Reputation is everything. Treating me in this fashion after I have trusted him wholeheartedly is very disturbing.

Fabulous world class one of a kind treasures. It's so fun to be in this store you almost can't leave. The owner and his two sons are the three most charming guys you'll ever meet. Their sense of customer service and courteous, relaxed but helpful attitudes are perfect for Canyon Road. An amazing Santa Fe jewel. You'll dream about it at night.
