Was told I can't read a book outside, after hours, in front of their establishment. Sorry; but the taxes i pay allow me to read on the sidewalk.

Origins is a wonderful shop. They have so many beautiful and unusual items I could spend a whole day exploring and enjoying everything they have available. With a broad range of prices and choices they are sure to have something for everyone! Stop by their new location for a great shopping experience. Owner Judy is also a delight. If she is there be sure to say hello! This is one shop you shouldn't miss while in Santa Fe! You are sure to become a regular if you go once and I know that I can't wait to go back!

I was a seamstress in Santa Fe back in the 80's and was hired to rework some of the Origins clothing. I had to take them apart and work from scratch. They were of cheap fabric and were poorly made. Some of the seams would ravel because there were only 1/4" seams which renders them practically useless after on a few wearings. This is tacky clothing at it's best but the prices they charge are exorbitant and the quality is seriously lacking. I discourage every one to avoid this shop unless you want to be a looky=loo..Don't buy. It's a waste of your money.

I never leave this store without a unique jewelry or clothing find. It's positively addictive... A great atmosphere, selection, and attentive, pleasant service.

Beautiful, high-end clothing and accessory store with exceptionally well made products. The sizes range from small to plus size, and the staff is eager to please.

Since the 80 or 90''s ( years a blur, lol) I found this shop. Felt like came home. All the global artifacts, jewelry, clothes, rugs etc. Over time they have put more of an emphasis on the clothes. I have bought clothes, odd pieces of jewelry and drooled over some of the significant items they will bring out from the back--but only if your educated in what they are showing you because they are one of a kind--and YES will be pricy. Ask them for the unique--they have some great things with history about them. So yup, shop there everytime I come for Spring skiing..

EXPENSIVE CLOTHING OF DUBIOUS QUALITY. I have occasionally shopped at this Santa Fe store. I find it interesting but last summer—9 months ago—I purchased two light weight summer skirts of identical design but made with different fabrics. The skirts were in the same price range—about $175 each. Both skirts were put away during Santa Fe's cold winter months. When I took them out of the closet, the cotton skirt looked like a rag. I could not ever hope to wear this skirt again. The fabric had obviously been treated with sizing. I also discovered that their are no county of origin or fabric content tags in the skirt. This is fine I guess the personnel at Origins have been very nasty about my criticism of their merchandise. I have not asked them to take the skirt back. I have only asked for the contact information of the manufacturer. The manufacturer is "Hannah." I do expect courtesy in a situation like this. I will never shop at Origins again.

Each trip to SF I am amazed at the fabulous clothing and designs at Origin. Judy and Frankie are the best! I am a difficult customer to fit and satisfy, and yet they are able to do so each time. When I am not in SF, they call and we discuss my needs and they send me a box of goodies to try on. I send back what I didn't select, and I never got on a plane! Their range of pieces is huge, the taste is impeccable. I recommend Origins to all who find themselves in fabulous Santa Fe.
