“The owner does a free movie night at the Jean Cocteau (sp?) cinema every Monday, try to get there by 6.

They have nearly everything, movie lover dreamscape, did not have copies of certain shows I'm interested in but the shows are a lil off the beaten path. Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, so browsing isnt possible for some disabled folks, but they do have only so Much space to fit all of the movies & shows, which is why its still 5 stars.

The owner may want to consider adding tall roll out pantry shelf style drawers ( basically pull out shelves) to save on space, would also give it a more archival feel. They could add them and increase walkability of the store while still keeping the old movie store experience \ aesthetic.. this would be very helpful to better sort TV shows away from Films, as they take up way more space.

Could use some sprucing up in decor or design but its not like physical media is popping these days.

Not as much Black Cinema as I would like to see but there are some choice titles.

A better sectional for Anime & animation would also be appreciated, animation is kinda scattered & though some of it was for adults, there were all ages titles mixed throughout. Typically the child rated content goes down low and the more mature content goes up high with mid level content in between.

Queer cinema was sorta of placed in a down low spot (no pun intended) and mixed with erotic subject matter, there's gotta be a better way to sort that, a section for extreme, intense and taboo all together and a smaller spot for elsewhere for queer films might make more sense as many of these films are no longer taboo & could be separated more easily, or a section for cult cinema as much of the titles in all of those categories have cult followings and some of the queer titles are included in that. Many Horror, gore, slashers, extreme, intense or rather taboo movies often have cult followings but definitely not all of em as some are definitely less taboo than others. Its still a lil strange to put queer films and films with sexual subject matter in the same place these days. There's got to be a better solution, like treating the bulk of queer films as belonging to a cultural category instead, but again this place is short on space and employees.”

“I was having a really bad day had to go shopping, went through Lawrence's line and realized that I forgot some stuff that I really needed... he ran back and got exactly what I wanted and didn't make a big deal about it!! He really went the extra mile to make me have a better day!!!”
