I've visited the one in Dallas, so I was curious to check out the one in Santa Fe. We had a group of 9 in our Girls' Weekend trip, and booked for Friday night before Halloween. Some other guests were in costume so that made the experience even more fun.
Walking into House of Eternal Return is like stepping into another dimension. What starts as a normal house quickly turns into a maze of insane, surreal environments—think glowing caves, wild forests, and neon worlds. You get to explore everything hands-on, and each room has something stranger and cooler than the last.
It’s clear so much thought went into every detail in every room. The place is packed with hidden details, clues, and rooms that keep you guessing and amazed. This isn’t just a museum; it's a playground for all ages, blending art and tech in a totally unique way.
I also liked that there was a bar/snack area and we were allowed to bring the drinks into the exhibit.

I am a local who attended a new event I saw posted was told upfront it was an adult themed event everyone was Id checked and stamped. To my amazement they also said you were allowed to smoke in the back side of the venue via there back porch. Went outside to hit my medical vape pen which I am a medical cardholder of in a legal state, was then approached by security guard who said I was not allowed to hit ‘weed’ on property but was never instructed or told otherwise before hand and being a medical patient it caught me very off guard to be told I would either have to throw away the pen or essentially leave the property. I had 3 other guests with me at the time as well and was then debating what next to do, so I decided I would rather leave but then decided to bring up I had a medical card then in which the guard escorted me to the front with my friends to the front was then told I had to be separated from my friends just for the guard to talk with the supervisor through a walk talkie. Only for them to tell me I can now escort the item back to my car and I may have rented. Just very embarrassing situation. Do not think I will be coming back.

Incredibly creative place, unique and wildly varied, but.... They let in way too many people at the same time. It was difficult to appreciate the subtle clues and games they have set up with bodies packed in every space. Worse still, packs of unsupervised minors running wild spoiled the ambiance I believe the creators were aiming for. I enjoyed the experience in the moment but felt the original vision was severely compromised by the crowd. I'm not inclined to revisit this location or to visit other Meow Wolf locations assuming revenue is prioritized over customer experience.

This is the original Meow Wolf that started it all.i will definitely go back the experience was mind blowing. I also saw a memorial for one of the co-founders who had passed away. Matt King, I never got to meet you in life, but thank you for making this happen. I will honor your memory by visiting as often as I am able to. Rest in peace my friwnd.

We bought tickets in advance day of for a late afternoon weekday. We experienced no wait upon entry. The place was packed once we got into the main exhibits with families and couples. There’s a bar you can go to before or after and you can bring your drinks into the exhibit. The exhibits were unique and had a good flow to them. Lots of nooks to explore with sensory overload. I’ve been to the Denver Meow Wolf and it had a similar concept albeit a little larger with less people.

Love this it's been a long time since I've been. But I'm sure it's still super cool and fun.

This was such a fun experience. Went during spring and it was nice solving and getting to know the story line. We went ahead and tried to get the early ticket. That way we found it less crowded and we were able to explore each room. However, towards the end it just got crowded with kids running around and parents using it as a playground. I wished they had days with just adults only. I think the experience would of been more enjoyable. Overall, very unique. Would love to tour all the meow wolf location since they all have different stories.

OMG I loved this place. I've been to Omega Mart in Vegas, so seeing the origins of the Meow Wolf experiences was pretty mindblowing.
Good:
- I liked how it started out pretty scary and spooky like a haunted house and then you go through the fireplace or fridge and get into a bright sparkly alien place
- I was thoroughly entertained for 2.5 hours and would have been there longer if I could. There's so much to see and do, and even found new rooms in the last minute
- The story was so smart and I liked how all of it started to fall into place as I found secret TVs around and saw characters and names click
Bad:
- It sometimes gets super crowded and hard to move around
- Some stuff feels a little older and creaky, but otherwise most of the place is in a good condition
Overall I would definitely recommend it.

Crowded, overpriced, confusing. I've been to art exhibits where the artists use garbage and recycled materials to design things in very interesting and crafty ways. This place is like that, except it's dirty, dusty, and difficult to stand back and appreciate with so many people crammed into small, dark, dirty rooms. I like a good fun house with mirrored rooms and psychedelic lighting, but this place is pushing a hidden, political agenda (see photos) through a mysterious storyline that even the staff couldn't help me unfold. I tried the app, I tried watching the videos in each portal, I asked others who were all equally lost, I collected clues... All to no avail. I wanted to leave after 10 minutes (that's how long it took to do a full walk through), but I gave it another 1.5 hours to play the game. Not worth even the 10 minutes.

My autistic son loves Meow wolf so when family came to visit we wanted to experience Meow Wolf with them. Parking lot was completely full so we had to park down the street in a neighborhood and walk a good distance back to Meow Wolf. I brought my 2 year old son as well so that was a little difficult to walk with him and our diaper bag. We bought our tickets in advance for a specific time slot to save money. They give you tokens which can be used to store your belonging in a locker. They have small and larger lockers that fit the diaper bag. They are a one time use though… so be prepared to purchase more tokens if you need to change your child’s diaper. My family loved the whole experience but I did notice that we all struggled to move around as the place was packed. It was difficult to stay in one area for too long because so many people would crowd the small spaces. It was difficult to pass through some areas and our bodies would touch others in passing. I’m not sure why they have time slots to enter the park but I’m pretty sure it’s not to reduce crowding. It would be nice if they could reduce the crowding, I think my whole family and especially my child with Autism would enjoy the experience more. We are lunch in their cafe and they had the perfect prepared lunches for kids and the burritos were yummy. It was pricey to eat there though. My family who is out of state had to pay the out of state fee but they didn’t check IDs at the door as their website states.
