A fairly nice selection of kitchenwares and appliances. You can probably find better prices else, but shopping in person lets you see and feel the pans. Service is mixed. Some of the crew are very pleasant and helpful, others far less so. During our most recent visit, one of the floor staff lectured me about how skillets don't generally come with lids and that you don't need a lid when cooking with a skillet. (Nevertheless, we found a nice no stock skillet with a lid!)

Pretty much got turned away because I walked in as they were closing, which I didn’t realize. You don’t have to be rude about it though! I guess I’ll just order what I need online!

On this visit to Santa Fe, I think my girlfriend and I made three THREE trips to this fabulous kitchen store. They have everything that you could want for cooking, including excellent cooking lessons that are hands-on, which is the only time to take. And I purchased my friend, a gorgeous set of glasses and a picture of that she chose as her hostess gift. When we got the back to her house in Eldorado, we were thrilled with how beautiful they fit with her Decour both inside and outside on the portal. For myself, I purchased a wonderful bamboo Tajin e & Himalayan sea salt cellar for dipping the rims of margarita glasses as well as 3 of the finest mesh large tea bells for my loose leaf wild-crafted herbal teas. What a find! I also discovered two silicone poached egg "thingies" that make absolutely perfect poached eggs just like the ones served at breakfast at The Bobcat Bute. My friend signed up for a cooking class that I would love to attend with her but, sadly, I won't be here. BTW: Everyone that works here is fun, super nice, and really expert in their merchandise and about cooking. What a great place!

My most recent experience with Las Cosas involved our Jura S8 automatic coffee machine, which we dearly love. I commented about the fact that it was not grinding the beans and I was going to have to send it back to the factory again after having it refurbished one year and a half ago. Cheryl, the employee helping me, suggested I speak with owner Mike Walker. Mike came out front immediately and confirmed that the Jura rep. was coming to the store in two weeks. We had plans to be out of town at that time. Mike said that, if we were willing to leave the machine at the store, he would try to find out what was going on and, if he could not repair it, he would lean on the Jura rep for a solution. Mike knows the mechanics of the product line very well and he was influential in our purchasing the machine at Las Cosas rather than online. Las Cosas also matches online pricing for Jura. Great decision! Mike and son Brian took the machine apart, identified and resolved the problem and it was ready when we got back from Spain. There was no charge as Mike considers ongoing customer service to be part of the investment when people commit to buying Jura machines. In our case, we had purchased the machine about three years earlier. Exemplary customer service!

Took a "cooking class." It's in quotes because it was actually more like a let's fleece the old ladies class. We paid $100 for a time share-esque sales pitch for Henkel knives and cookware and some minor afterthought instruction. Oh, and we got a small lunch at the end. It was clearly very effective, as the ladies in my class couldn't buy enough of the advertised products. It was truly an emperor isn't wearing clothes experience for me. Cosa and Henkel were surely laughing all the way to the bank.

A kitchen gadget lover’s dream. These kind and patient folk have all manner of things to heat, chop, mix, or otherwise fiddle with your food. We’ve bought several of our favorite pans, salt/pepper grinders, strainers, and other things. Yep, a little pricey. Worth browsing their two large rooms. The very friendly staff is always ready to help and advise.

My favorite place in Santa Fe to shop. It is expensive kitchen equipment but it is all high quality and worth the cost. Overall great value for the goods and the staff is fantastic. They always treat me really well when I go in the store and ask questions.

I just got off work and was waiting for my husband to pick me up; as my mother and I car pool. I walked in the shop with my rolling backpack and was asked to leave it by the desk. I work IT and have a $1000+ laptop I can't leave unattended. So I simply walked out. I was hoping to buy a cheese grater I'd been wanting but I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Racial profiling at its finest!

I attended a knife skills class, learning all about the importance of a good knife, how to sharpen and care for them and best of all some simple and efficient ways to use them. Johnny Vee is a fun and charismatic teacher. I now know which knife I’m ready to purchase. I Loved this class.

It is hit or miss. It does depend on the salesperson. I constantly get ignored by so many sales ladies/sales people. I asked for a butter dish, the sales person told me they had none. They had many. She seemed exhausted. Honestly, if you find a good salesperson here without an ego, go with them. We love supporting small businesses in Santa Fe, but employees like this (who ignore some) makes it hard to buy local. Nobody likes to be judged. This is a great shop, and we love supporting local, but it's unfortunate that every time I needed help: the person I looked at, looked away.
