Beautiful hotel. Underground parking, for which they include a $30 daily fee that includes bottles of water in your room and available from the front desk. They also have a happy hour in the restaurant daily, as well as a separate bar and lounge area. The 3rd floor swimming pool and declared are great, offering 2 hottubs. The hotel is just 1 block from the old Town plaza.Nearby activities: You are near the old town city Plaza. Lots of tourist shopping, museums and restaurants.Walkability: Just 1-2 short blocks to everything.

I was here for a conference. It was warm outside and the air conditioning in my room didn’t work. I asked them to look at it but got no response. Housekeeping came one time but other days never saw anyone clean the room. Staff seems disengaged. We probably will choose another hotel next time.

I have no idea why you would want to stay at this hotel. I got a discount rate which was substantially less than the nightly rate and I would never stay here again.4th floor smelled like urinal cakes and had carpet that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. 5th floor smelled marginally better but still smelled old. Generally vile and disgusting hotel, embarrassed for the people who get married here.I recommend staying at the Hilton across the street. It is truly a beautiful hotel and actually clean. We very much enjoyed our stay there last fall.Walkability: Can walk literally anywhere in town from this location.

We had very high hopes for our stay at the Eldorado in Santa Fe. As far as location goes, a visitor to this beautiful town could not ask for better. Unfortunately, that and the service from staff at Agave were the only good things about our stay.I am taking the time to write this so others won’t spend a decent amount assuming that you will be staying at a higher end hotel. After attempting to be heard, via their “personal” text system and via phone call I am a tiny bit frustrated. Not only did they not respond to the text that was sent, a representative at Heritage hotels transferred me to the front desk at the Eldorado where my concerns were met with less than ideal service. The list of issues: carpets in hallways are very unclean, the ceiling in the bathroom has a leak, the faucet would not turn off all of the way unless you wiggled the handle position to just the right spot, the outlet/usb panel on shared nightstand was inoperable, the toilet tank cover did not match the toilet causing an irregular fit which allowed for dirt and grime from inside of tank to be visible. You have to figure out what to do for the valet parking, we were sent after check in time to a room still being cleaned and we’re left to wait for an extended period of time by bell-hop station on the direction of an associate only to be told we would need to go into garage to request vehicle. And the associate that informed us did so after assisting other patrons who had been waiting much less time.If I was able to do this trip over, I would have definitely stayed somewhere else for the price that was paid. The response received from support, or lack thereof, I should clarify, indicates a deeper opportunity for this institution in creating hospitality. If you’ve read this far, thank you. I hope this helps other travelers.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. I absolutely love visiting Santa Fe and it's such a treat to stay close to the hustle and bustle of The Plaza. This is one of the only hotels in Santa Fe that has a view of the city and it's breathing from every angle. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I received a text message prior to arriving and received relevant communication from the staff as needed regarding my stay.

I took many weeks finding the perfect place to celebrate a milestone birthday for my husband. I chose El Dorado after researching many options. This has ended up being a poor decision and not a place I would recommend if you’re expecting customer service at a level that a 4-5 star hotel would typically have. The location was great, the room needed some updating, however that could have been overlooked. The main issues were with customer service. There were a few things that occurred during our stay that were disappointing, but the main concern was after a couple of hours of checking out we realized we left two shirts hanging in the closet. I have made no less than 5 attempts to talk to someone about retrieving our items and left several messages within a 24 hour period, with no call back or effort to get our items. I have stayed at other Heritage Hotels and they have been exceptional. El Dorado did not match up to the reputation or expectations of an upper tier hotel and spa, and we still have not been able to get our items or a call back.

Such a beautiful stay and very close to the square. The staff was amazing, we loved the pool and hot tub lounge area, and the overall stay was definitely 5 stars.

What a disappointment. Not only were the rooms sub-par (especially for the inflated prices), but the front desk help was inadequate, and on Friday night, instead of enjoying the night, here at the hotel, we had to venture out, because their bartender (apparently they only have one) fell ill for the evening. Sheesh. ?

Shopping, eating, entertainment, etc.

A little far away from the main part of town. We got there at 3:30 and starving! No food until 4 is my only complaint. Need apps at all hours. Bartender went out of his way to give me chips and guac at 3:55. Slow service at the bar and it was dead but they were very nice. Director was very nice! Breakfast was killer. Get the huevos rancheros or the crab cakes benedict! Impressed.

Room was fine although not as nice as I expected. I stay in hotels very often and paying a $35 fee per night for “parking, and the use of the pool and hot tub” is preposterous. The rooms are already expensive for what they are. Guests should NOT be expected to pay an extra fee ($35 per night plus tax) just for parking and the ability to use the pool?? In my experience these things are included in guest amenities. Parking is valet only too, so be prepared to tip accordingly. It’s not the staff’s fault. But I see you Eldorado, masquerading as a fancy resort when you’re just a nice-ish hotel with a pool banking off of your location. Won’t be back.

Rooms: Rooms were clean with a fire place which we enjoyed as it was cold enough. That said, I am a hard pillow guy and the pillows were too fluffy for my taste.Walkability: Close to a lot of things around Santa Fe. Lots of places to eat, shop, and galleries.Food & drinks: Restaurant in the hotel is great, open late and has a great menu.Noteworthy details: Spa was amazing. Was able to sauna before and after massage making it early to our appointment and was relaxing.
