My experience with Hertz at Santa Fe Airport was absolutely appalling. They failed to honor my reservation, provided no alternatives or assistance, and worst of all, did not even bother to inform me in advance. This complete lack of professionalism and consideration completely ruined our plans. I wouldn't recommend Hertz at Santa Fe Airport to anyone.

Would give zero stars if possible. We showed up from Albuquerque, got out of our Uber, were ignored by the man at the desk to then be told that they actually didn’t have a car for us. Horrible customer service and super unreliable. Absolutely no notice whatsoever. Don’t book with them.

Myself and several other people flew into the Santa Fe airport only to be told our RESERVATIONS couldn’t be fulfilled because they oversold. Why allow people to make reservations then? The excuse I received was because it wasn’t prepaid for but the negotiated contract they have with my company doesn’t even allow me to pay for it ahead of time. The employees at this location are a complete joke.

Did not get a minivan I reserved months in advance but instead a small suv that cannot accommodate my family of six. I was still charged the same price. What's worse is that they gave me a car with no tread left on the tires. I happened to get one flat tire, and the tire shop said it was dangerous to drive a car that had no tread left on all 4 tire and had all 4 tires changed out. Also no spare tire in the trunk! Not acceptable to give out a car like that in santa fe especially with kids and infant in the car.

All in all a good experience. Only issue is lack of signing for rental car returns.

Worst experience ever. Staff at check in desk were great, but our car was soo dirty had to clean windows our selves car was dirty inside and out. No window washer fluid wipers didn't work. Key fob battery is dead.

Hertz, fire your manager and promote Andre! He worked so hard to deal with bad vehicle stock management from his supervisor. I saw two ladies go without cars because Hertz ran out. He communicated with the Avis people next door to try to get these ladies an alternative and make up for Hertz’s lack of stock.He was great with me - tried to call me to let me know my car was ready early (coworker wrote the number down wrong) and was super professional. 5 stars but only because of Dre.

Worse experience DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE...had a reservation and no cars available because the employee had no clue what he was donig...he rented out cars without even checking reservations...not only us but same thing happened to couple in front of us.... absolutely horrible

Really Hertz! You send me a confirmation for my rental, but when I arrive you turn me away because you don't have any cars. Yet, I see multiple car keys hanging on the wall. The manager tells me those are for "special" members! WOW! But wait, theirs more, I'm told that I'm responsible to cancel my reservation so I don't get charged the $101cancellation fee! Am I in a Seinfeld TV episode! So dissatisfied.

Wow. This place is not a quality location. Rude staff, shuttle never arrived, parking is about a mile away (or feels like it in the heat, pulling a bag down a gravel track). I'm a Gold member and have to say that I will be re-thinking using Hertz again anytime soon. Use an off-airport company with an actual shuttle!!!!

I would have given this Hertz location a minus rating if possible. The only reason they got one star was that I had to put something and I got the car I asked for at the rate they told me and it was in good shape. But, do not... I repeat DO NOT use this Hertz location. Just to be somewhat fair, the airport is undergoing massive remodeling, but Avis is handling it well and Hertz is a disaster. They only have one person there and Avis has three. When we arrived it took 45 minutes to get our car. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told our car was not ready. Turns out, the one Hertz employee had to clean cars, bring cars to you from a public parking lot about 1/2 mile away and do all the paperwork. He had to go clean the car, but didn't bring it to us. Filled out the paperwork, slammed down the metal grate to close the office and disappeared. When he came back there were three additional people waiting to get cars. Rather than getting our car, he kept talking to other people. Long story short, he was rude, disappeared for 10 or 15 minutes at a time with no one to talk to, and took 45 minutes to get our car. Actually, the Avis guy took us to the lot where our car was and helped us load it. Coming back to drop off... Avis had several slots at the terminal to drop off cars and Hertz had one. It was occupied. The Hertz person (same rude guy) told us to drive down to the lot and leave it there then hike back to the terminal - about a 7 minute walk. This would be on a narrow road with no sidewalks in the sun with bad knees. Again he slammed down the metal grate and disappeared. The Avis guy once again came to our rescue and gave us one of his slots. Not enough people working for Hertz, not enough space for pick up and return, not a shuttle available to the lot, no customer service!!!!!

I would give a ZERO if it was available. Santa Fe airport has gone down hill. They have younger RUDE employees with ZERO customer service skills. The construction at the airport is a nightmare and they have poorly planned how to minimize impacts to their customers. Not to mention the car was sticky all over and no windshield wiper fluid in a snow storm. I suggest flying to Albuquerque where they know what they are doing and they take better care of their cars. The rude kid at the front desk should be fired and should never work with other humans. I will avoid this airport for future rentals. Very disappointed with Hertz.
