I’ve had one of JB’s scarves for over twenty years. It gets softer with age and use. I’ve washed it on gentle and dried it and looks brand new. Timeless and still get compliments on it!

While attending a conference in Santa Fe, I discovered this precious shop chock full of treasures. I stopped in yesterday afternoon and found several unique jewelry pieces, but as I hadn't walked around town yet decided to come back after reviewing other shops. Needless to say I took a walk thru the Plaza and all around looking at all the jewelry and artisan stores. Very disappointing except the beautiful work of The Golden Eye which had the most beautiful handmade jewelry-but out of my price range. I got the "tourist trap" feel in many of the other stores and saw the same cookie-cutter merchandise, whereas I was seeking local handmade treasures. This I came right back to Handwoven Originals and spent a lovely afternoon with the helpful ladies in the shop (one an owner who sells her own work there-which I bought a wrap of hers). With over 25 local artists represented in this shop-so much to look for. I was looking for unique jewelry and found several beautiful pieces from local artists, as well as purchased 3 wraps -handmade in looms with beautiful, beautiful yarns and materials. My daughter in law will be receiving a beautiful birthday gift. (One for her two for me!) Needless to say my Visa was melted as I left- but home I go with some beautiful pieces. Thank you ladies for a great afternoon and all the insight into the various artists. (And they offer a 10% discount to hotel guests!).

This is a wonderful shop with gorgeous, hand woven shawls and an abundance of other hand woven items. The ladies who work there are so personable and sweet! It will be a highlight during your trip to Santa Fe.

This is a lovely woman-owned gallery that has been in the Loretto Inn for decades...everything is so beautiful, and I appreciate the fact that there are items in all price ranges. The Owners are often there, and personal service is just the way they do business. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and it is a joy to visit and see what new things the artists have brought in...I often can't help myself and end up with a wonderful treasure that I always get compliments on when I wear...No, they don't sell yarn, but their creations, whether woven, knit, jewelry, hand-painted scarves and so much more is worth the visit!

May I start by saying I don't understand why no one has reviewed this beautiful boutique in Santa Fe. Walking through the door I was immediately dazzled by the colors of the merchandise. I honestly didn't know where to look first. I was greeted by one of the nicest people I have ever met,her name is JJ. She told me to enjoy myself and play dress up as long as I liked. I didn't know where to begin. I tried on a number of shawls and infinity wraps. I tend towards earth tones and I did settle on two gorgeous hand woven pieces. JJ helped me arrange the wraps and give me some honest opinions on what she thought looked good. I appreciate the time the artisans worked on all of these pieces and their uniqueness. All of the wares in this store are works of art and just not pieces of clothing. Keep in mind you will not see any of these on anyone they are very special. My special thanks to JJ again and to the owners of this very wonderful establishment in beautiful Santa Fe, I will wear my garments with pride knowing that they are truly works of art and so unique.
