My 1998 Toyota 4Runner's engine died several years ago. I could not bear to junk it after so many years of great experiences in Washington State, California, Vermont and here in New Mexico. Luckily while thinking about engine replacement I discovered Daniel's "German Auto Solutions". I went to see him and after some warm and honest conversation I agreed to have German Auto Solutions replace my Toyota's engine. He took his time which was my preference because I emphasized I wanted a good job and not a rushed just get it done approach. I am now once again driving my prized 1998 4Runner with a replaced younger engine Daniel was able to locate that did not rob my bank! He did a great job!! I am happy and grateful that I found German Auto Solutions. For honesty and great work I highly recommend German Auto Solutions. I will be returning for more mechanical work on my other vehicles. Thanks Daniel!!

I had a great experience at this shop. An auto parts store recommended him as I was traveling through Santa Fe and my 'check engine' light came on. He checked the coils and the oil, then gave me instructions on what symptoms to look for as I drove to my destination a couple of hours away. Terrific experience. I feel he's a very trustworthy mechanic. I would have him as my regular mechanic if I lived in Santa Fe.

Automotive Resources. This shop is AAA approved with a 10% discount. Anthony, service manager is the best in explaining what needs to be done on my 2002 Boxster S. no surprises. Highly recommended shop. Jim B., Santa Fe.

This shop did great work on my car, but I'm afraid I was the victim of a bait-and-switch. I was getting some minor body work done, when I noticed the large sign outside that advertises "Free Oil Change." I asked Daniel (I think he's the owner) if I could have an oil change thrown in with my work, and he said sure, but they would use synthetic oil, so it would cost $16. Now, this guy does have a bit of an accent, but when I got the bill my oil change was $160! There's no WAY I would have agreed to that. When I asked him about it, he said that it was some sort of fancy expensive oil and oil conditioner job and it would last for a year or 10,000 miles. That's all well and good, but I didn't ASK for an oil conditioning, I asked for an oil CHANGE, which was advertised as free! His defense was that the sign has tiny letters that say "restrictions apply." I refused to pay the full amount and explained to him that I don't make much money. He was very apologetic, but would barely budge with the price. I'm sure I was victimized because I am a young woman. Sigh. So beware! The shop does good work, but the oil change ain't free!
