My mom and I just returned from a trip to Santa Fe. What a lovely time. We booked a 3 night stay at the Four Kachinas Inn. 5 star experience all the way around. Blanca, Walt, and Wayne were incredible. I emailed a request one evening and they responded right away (very professional and caring). Blanca prepared amazing breakfasts each morning, quite a spread - fresh baked sweet bread, yogurt, fresh granola, juices, an amazing fruit plate, plus a different hot breakfast each day (my favorite was the perfectly executed eggs Benedict). Wow! The rooms were clean and the decor very beautiful. Our two queen room had a little patio off it. They supplied wine glasses and openers. Hot showers. Just overall a quaint beautiful little place that is centrally located, perfect for walking to everything. I will definitely recommend to my friends and stay here on any return trip to Santa Fe.

I stayed here for a quick getaway and I'm definitely going to miss the morning breakfast. It was so good and they were easily able to accommodate my gluten intolerance. The room was very cute and had a claw foot tub which was a highlight for me? there's tons of shopping and restaurants nearby so you don't have to drive much if you don't want! I definitely recommend and want to come back.

Beautiful B&B. Quiet neighborhood. Walk to old town, churches, galleries, museums, restaurants. Good parking. AC and heat control in room. Spotlessly clean, excellent wifi, streaming tv, extra pillows, QUIET. Everything you need. This is a gem and far exceeds any hotel! Short drives to nearby museums or up Artist Road for the view. Our hosts were pleasant and have provided a wonderful retreat. Blanca prepares a delicious feast each morning and cookies for an afternoon treat. Coffee in room, tea available in the lounge. We stayed 2 nights, but will stay longer next time as Santa Fe and the surrounding area have much to offer. Thank you to Four Kachinas for a wonderful respite along our cross -country trip!

I just had the most enchanting experience at Four Kachinas Inn for four beautiful nights! As a solo traveler in town for a writers' retreat, I couldn't have chosen a better location. Tucked away on a quiet street just south of the plaza, I was close enough to walk to many beautiful areas of town, but far enough away to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this superb bed and breakfast.Upon checking in, I was greeted warmly by Walt, Hannah, and Pretzel (one kind human and two sweet doggies). The bed and linens were luxurious, as was the provided bathrobe, which I begrudgingly exchanged for regular clothes before heading to the breakfast room every morning.Speaking of breakfast, the amazing and attentive staff served up lovely and unique dishes every day. Think homemade cones, strata, waffles, shakshuka, coffee cake. Fresh, perfectly ripe fruit is also served daily, along with yogurt, granola, cheese, bagels, and the most delicious locally roasted coffee.I loved the intimacy of the Four Kachinas. With only six guest rooms, it feels very inviting and homey. I had wonderful conversations with other guests over breakfast. But there is also no pressure to mingle if you prefer to do your own thing. There are plenty of sitting areas and a beautiful patio space so guests can spread out. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the property. The Railyard district and Canyon Road, famous for its dozens of art galleries, are also an easy walk. It's truly the perfect place to call home when in Santa Fe!

I spent a week here recently and definitely plan on staying again. The innkeepers and staff are great, the breakfast is delicious, and the rooms and atmosphere are wonderful.

What can I say that hasn't been said? Stopped by for a night on the way through town and wished I'd been able to stay longer. Lovely staff, beautiful and cozy room, and amazing breakfast. The location can't be beat, either. If you're waffling because of price - don't. If you're waffling for any reason - don't. We loved our tiny courtyard, our pup was welcomed, and it was quiet and peaceful. Wouldn't hesitate one bit to stay there again.Rooms: Cozy, well decorated, comfy bed and sofa. IMMACULATELY CLEAN - both room and grounds.Nearby activities: THE FOOD TRUCKS just around the corner! The BBQ truck is so, so good. Try the brisket if you can. The coffee truck has insanely tasty homemade donuts big enough to share. Nearby : capitol, downtown, fun neightborhoods. Museums in SF are excellent.Safety: Location and layout made us feel very safe.Walkability: Close to everythingFood & drinks: Lovely breakfast!

My wife and I stayed at Four Kachinas on a short vacation and loved it all. Both Walt and Blanca were great hosts and went out of their way to make sure that everything was up to our expectations. Blanca made sure that I had a alternatives for breakfast due to my food allergy. Room was clean, quiet, and well maintained. Thanks for making our trip enjoyable!

We stayed at Four Kachinas from Friday evening until Sunday morning in April. Once the cost of the room, tax, and the lodger’s fee were combined, the cost came to $290.59 per night. For that price, and for being a 3-star hotel, Four Kachinas fell well below what we were expecting. Hotel Tech Report describes 3-star hotels as follows: “Three stars: a typical hotel will have three stars and offer room service, ensuite bathrooms, daily cleaning, a desk or table, and Wifi. This is a standard hotel experience that most travelers expect unless they’re on a strict budget.”Four Kachinas did not offer room service, a desk or table, and the WiFi was continually intermittent through our stay. When we tried to watch TV, it buffered because of the slow WiFi, and then when we selected something it wanted us to download and sign up for an app. We needed to run the hot water in the bathroom for a long while for it to heat up; the hot water heater is presumably shared with the other rooms and en suites in the complex. Finally, there was no mini-fridge in the room, so we couldn’t bring home leftovers, and anyone needing to store refrigerated medication would be out of luck. The room we selected, the Zia, was cute and decorated eclectically in a Southwest theme. It had a very solid king bed, two sitting chairs, a closet for storing clothing, and a large shower. Four Kachinas offers a breakfast in the morning from 8am-9:30am, which includes bread selections, fruit plates, cereal, and a hot dish. The morning we tried the breakfast the hot dish was a vegetarian black bean and tortilla strata and one link of chicken sausage. Neither my husband nor I cared for the breakfast and we opted to eat out the second morning we were there.Overall, a cute room but not much in the way at all with amenities or even basic services (a refrigerator, WiFi, hot water, a table or desk, etc). Perhaps others will have a different experience, but at almost $300 a night we’ll opt to stay elsewhere next time.Nearby activities: Located very close to the Plaza.Food & drinks: They offer a daily breakfast.

I can’t say enough good things about Four Kachinas. We’ve stayed here twice and I can’t wait to come back again. I don’t even normally prefer bed and breakfasts to a hotel, but this is such a wonderful property and the hosts are such a pleasure to talk to.

The Four Kachinas is a beautiful and cozy inn conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Santa Fe and many area attractions. Walt was very informative upon check in and made sure we had a good understanding of our location and which spots were worth walking to vs driving. I came with my family and we stayed in three of the rooms available. All are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The courtyard patio is the perfect place to enjoy coffee in the morning with the delicious homemade breakfast.

We recently stayed 5 nights at The Four Kachinas Inn, and it was wonderful in every way. Our room was lovely and the king size bed was very comfy. Our host Walter was the best! In addition to providing us with a wealth of information on sightseeing and getting around Santa Fe, he was our chef for breakfast each morning. He was so kind providing me with info on his "secret recipe" for Belgian waffles, I went out and purchased a new waffle maker when I returned home! The Four Kachinas is conveniently located close to everything. We only used the car once during our stay. I would highly recommend The Four Kachinas if you are planning a trip to Santa Fe. Oh yes, my husband and I missed our pups while on vacation, but we got our doggy from Walt's pups Pretzel and Hannah, two adorable and friendly dachshunds.

We were a family group of seven and stayed in three rooms at Four Kachinas. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. All three rooms opened onto a lovely little courtyard where we spent afternoons regrouping and relaxing after sightseeing around Santa Fe. Attached to the courtyard is the dining room where breakfast is served - you can choose to sit inside or outside for breakfast. Coffee, fresh baked goods, yogurt, cereals are all self-serve, and each table gets a generous plate of fresh fruit. A substantial hot dish is served individually - always delicious! The inn is within easy walking distance of Santa Fe Plaza and Canyon Road. Walt was a gracious host and we would definitely stay here again!

First time to Santa Fe and chose Four Kachinas because of the awesome reviews, well now I get to write my own. Stayed in the Chimayo room for a birthday weekend and it was perfect. Room and bed was very comfortable, plenty of coffee, easy parking, and breakfast is great.Outside of the main square "downtown" but everywhere was a short walk; Square, restaurants, churches, etc. The only drive we made was to Meow Wolf.Walt and Wayne are the best, very helpful and informative, knowledgable about the area from being there for some time and make you feel at home. Also discovered their mugs are made in our home town down the street from us! Will definitely be back, A+.
