“Changed ownership within the last year. Fairly good selection of books, lots of paperbacks as the name implies. Worth a visit if you're looking for a quick read and not something specific.”

418 Montezuma Ave, Santa Fe“Fun little indie theater. It seems like they mostly do second run movie classics for $5. I Love the trippy entryway.. it's small but cool and I like the purple painted space. One thing to note though is that they charge an automatic 20% gratuity. Fortunately, not on the ticket prices. As someone who's worked in the service industry for a long time in many different types of tip-based jobs and also independent movie theaters, I feel that it's quite excessive for just handing someone a candy bar or taking one step to scoop a bucket of popcorn. The tipping system is based around workers that get paid less than minimum wage so I'm curious if they pay a living wage there to their employees. If so, tipping should not be mandatory. Not to mention that if it's mandatory it's not a tip, it's a tax”
“Place is awesome. Incredibly friendly staff. All George R. R. Martin books are signed. They even have all of his games based on Game of Thrones as well as some warhammer and D&D models along with some GW paints. In the back is a section of collector/rare signed books.”
“I have found several special books at Books of Interest while browsing. One was a very nice old book with colored pictures of old cars, and I have bought several interesting children’s books. The store is very well organized and tidy, and has several original art works for sale. In enjoy going there to see what treasure I might find while I am looking for nothing in particular.”
“My family and I perused their book stall in Albuquerque at the book faire in mid March, and the owner was engaging and talkative with my and my sister’s 5, 4, 3, and 2 year olds. It’s difficult for rare books lovers who have preschoolers to shop for books, but the owner made it a pleasure! What a treat to be able to shop without stressing out over my rambunctiously curious children upsetting or offending a rare book seller! I can’t wait to shop in your store when we visit Santa Fe.”

Candles, crystals, cards, loads of jewelry and books. The shop is cute and the staff is lovely and helpful. Prices are reasonable and fit any pocketbook.”
“This is my favorite book store in Santa Fe. The selection at this tiny store is incredible. The shop owner seems so knowledgeable, like he has read every book in the store. Prices are so reasonable. Being in this shop, I feel a sense of peace and home. I wish all bookstores were like this one!”
“I have been visiting Garcia Street Books since I was a child, and I love it just as much as an adult. It's a cozy local book shop with lovely staff, great selection and recommendations, and organized in a tidy and appealing way. If they don't have what you need in stock, they will offer to order it for you. Love this place.”

839 Paseo De Peralta, Santa Fe“As an international travel enthusiast, I absolutely loved this travel-themed bookstore. The have books from and about places all over the world and the books are organized by continent/country. They mostly sell new books but also have some used books as well. They have maps and travel supplies as well including luggage and travel clothing. They even have a cafe with (limited)seating so you can get a coffee and some food and sit and plan your next trip. Wish this place was here in Dallas!!”
“Very cute combination coffee shop/bookstore, where we enjoyed a yummy iced vegan dirty chai, a great oat milk cappuccino, and an excellent cinnamon roll and blueberry muffin. Mellow vibe, great lighting, and street-side window view too.”
“This is a new and used book store, sort of right out of the movies. You will find yourself surrounded by stacks and stack of books, to me quite a magical place. I found some interesting used books that I purchased, have not searched for new books... quite a unique place. If you love books, then well worth it visiting!”
“Amazing selection of books in Spanish! Plenty of children’s books! Hours of operation are very limited. The manager, an older gentlemen will speak nonstop on his adventures in Mexico. You’ve been warned.”
