Great place to purchase gloves, scarves, and socks. They also have ladies and men's vests, and women ' shawls. Go see Bob, he was friendly and awesome to meet.

Mr. Bob was the perfect host for our tour. He told us all about how he obtained the alpacas, what they ate, how they're cared for, and all sorts of other interesting facts. We also found out they really live to eat the grass just outside of the pens that the kiddos were picking and feeding to them. Great stop to see some animals! The tour is free, so make sure to purchase something in his ship to support this local small business!

For our last day in New Mexico, we thought petting alpacas would be the perfect send off. And WOW Blue Mesa Alpacas blew us away! We accidentally booked our tour for the wrong day, and the owner Bob was so friendly and was able to fit us in on the correct day. When we arrived at the farm, Bob came out and greeted us. He gave the the history of the alpacas and his farm all while letting us take pictures, pet, and feed the alpacas. Bob was so kind and fun to talk and listen to. The farm has a cat named pumpkin that ran up and greeted us upon arrival which I was SO EXCITED about. Pumpkin hung out with us during our entire tour. At the end of the tour, we got to look through the shop and we Found the cutest alpaca ornaments that all four of us had to have! Also, the socks are amazing and so soft! Overall, this was a perfect experience. Bob was so nice, he really made the experience so wonderful. You 100% need to check this place out!

Our family made a little afternoon trip to Blue Mesa Alpacas and had such a good time! Owner met us as we arrived, showed us around, educated us on alpacas and answered our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the alpacas as they entertained us with their fun personalities. They also rescue horses and we spent some time meeting and loving on those rescues too. There's a great gift shop to visit after the tour. We quickly grabbed some natural dryer balls (which are phenomenal) and an absolutely gorgeous cape. Highly recommend Blue Mesa Alpacas and its hospitable owners.

This was an amazing experience. My friend and I learned so much about alpacas and were able to shop in the gift shop where there were so many beautiful items that it was hard to choose what to purchase. I am still enjoying my soft and warm alpaca socks over a year later. I have such fond memories of touring the farm and meeting the alpacas. The owner and his wife were welcoming too. I hope to make it back again sometime and bring my husband along!

I completely agree with the other reviews here. Bob and his wife are wonderful - welcoming and so knowledgeable. I loved seeing the alpacas - we even got to see 3 babies. The stories Bob told were great. He is definitely a "people person". I learned a lot and had a fantastic time. As a bonus, I got to see 2 cats, 2 Great White Pyrenees dogs, burrows, horses, and a really large horse (I think it was called a Haflinger). Don't expect to pet the alpacas, but you get to see them up close and hear them hum to each other. They are beautiful and gentle creatures. If you're an animal lover, be sure to put this high on your Santa Fe to do list!
