Adobe Gallery in Santa Fe, NM is the VERY BEST! If you are interested in authentic and highly collectible Native American art and Pueblo pottery, this gallery will not disappoint. They have 45+ years in the market and as you would expect, their integrity, professionalism and experience is unparalleled. Michael, the gallery manager, is very knowledgeable not only about his gallery’s offerings but also about all Native American and other art. Adobe Gallery is a rare find!

THE best gallery in Santa Fe for authentic Pueblo art and artifacts. They sell both historic and contemporary items. Al, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and is a leader in his field. He has published many books on the subject. I have bought many Hopi Katsina dolls from Al and they are my favorite pieces in my collection. His prices are fair, too. If you can’t visit this gallery in person, check out their website, it’s really nice and easy to navigate. My favorite gallery in Santa Fe!!!

When buying historic pottery, trusting the integrity and experience of the dealer is key. That’s why my wife and I have been regular customers of Adobe Gallery.

Tried to charge me $5 for hot chocolate in front of this place on Christmas Eve while not charging other people before me at all. Discrimination and ripoff.

There are places in Santa Fe that I would describe as genuine. Adobe Gallery is one of them. I've often gone in with questions and always been impressed by the depth of knowledge of the gallery owner and his willingness to share his experience. We went in today with some questions about pottery and kachinas and came away with a wealth of information and several good anecdotes. It was as good as a visit to a museum, except you could touch the pottery and even take it home with you.

This is an absolutely fantastic gallery for older, museum quality pueblo pottery which is why most buyers will wind up there. They have an astounding selection that ranges from enormous historic bread bowls to smaller bowls and jars by well-known and recognized potters. If you want to see the very best in historic pottery this is the place to go. Expect the prices to be in step with the renown of the potters they stock. However, the shopper needs to recognize that may not be the place to go looking for a broad selection of offerings from current pueblo potters. Hence a somewhat lower rating to warn most shoppers that if you have to look at this list for guidance, Adobe may not be the store for you.

I grew up in New Mexico and have lived in Santa Fe for over 20 years. Exploring the Santa Fe art scene can be overwhelming because there are just so many galleries, especially along Canyon Road. Adobe Gallery, in my opinion, is the quintessential Santa Fe art experience, and an essential stop. Native American and Southwestern pottery and art is amazing and well worth exploring. If you want to learn from one of the most highly respected and knowledgable people in Native American Arts - you can by visiting Al or Todd at Adobe Gallery. They love to share what they know about the artists, the culture and the art they carry. Plus they have an amazing collection of books about pottery, and the art and artists they represent.
