Stayed 6 people in a nice 2-bedroom cabin. Quiet location with surrounding cabins all having festive night-lighting in the forest trees. Only difficult point was that the office was like half a mile away, and since I didn't make the reservation, I didn't know where to go to check in.Walkability: Nice mountain neighbourhood to walk around

For $220 a night this was a huge rip off. The real kicker was the $220 included a cleaning fee. The girl who checked us in reminded us to be sure to wash any kitchen ware we used. What exactly is the cleaning fee for. Place was filthy…front door looked like it had been egged. The tiny window unit wasn’t on and it took forever to cool the place. The patio was covered in thick pollen…all over the grill, table and chair. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned in a while…I have pics of the whole mess…just sorry I can’t post them for all to see. Don’t know about their other cabins, but beware…it should have been more like $90 a night at best:

The tiny window unit wasn't on when we arrived and it took forever to cool the place. The patio was covered in thick pollen...all over the grill, table and chair. Obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while...I have pics of the whole mess. The interior carpentry, for a cabin at this price, was hugely disappointing. Shower couldn't be engaged all the way, cause the spout at the tub was lose. Don't know about their other cabins but Blue Spruce is a dump for $220 a night. Beware...it should have been more like $90 a night at best...you've been warned. Photos don't lie!

Beautiful location, extremely wooded and quiet area. The cabins are perfect and super roomy. They have everything you could possibly need for home away from home. The bathroom is HUGE and the 2 person jet tub is unbelievable! We absolutely fell in love with this little hidden Ruidoso gem! Highly recommend Whispering Pines!!!

I would NOT recommend this place! We rented a cabin that was supposed to sleep 3 people. One of the beds was a sleeper sofa that was strictly springs and no padding! It was very uncomfortable to say the least but I did not want to make a big deal of it in front of my friends. I called today to discuss it and spoke to two very rude, defensive women who blamed me for it. They said they could have supplied me a mattress topper although there was not one in the room! We also had to call the maintenance man because when the microwave, toaster and coffee pot were all plugged in, it tripped the braker. We called immediately and maintenance came but he told us this had NEVER happened in seven years! He was rude and condescending! The fire place was also crumbling at the base and the grout in the bathroom was a mess. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU STAY HERE! There are plenty of nice places to stay. They did NOT compensate me at all.P.S. UPPER CANYON LODGING owns Whispering Pines and many other cabins! Make sure to check before leasing from them if you want any hospitality.

Aww very beautiful experience! Absolutely loved the cabin, it was clean, equipped with all the necessities. From toiletries to kitchen pots and pans! Their fireplace was my favorite, I would definitely go back!!
