I rent a property and had a leak on the tank. The Landlord called Cortez to go test the tank for any leaks. Took a while and a couple of more calls and my wife going in to see what the hold up was before she finally got someone to say they'd be out to look at it. The tank was at 20% so I called to see what the process was if the tank had to be fixed? I was going to order 75 gallons but the lady there said no we don't want to do that because the tank will have to be empty to repair it.Apparently, at some point someone came and looked at the tank? Just guessing, as no one called to tell myself or Landlord that anything occurred but, a truck showed up and apparently put 100 gallons of propane in the tank?? Well as I didn't hear from anyone from Cortez nor did I order 100 gallons of propane I wasn't really sure what had occurred.Since I didn't order the 100 gallons nor hear from anyone I just waited to see if Cortez would call.Well after a couple days they called my wife and spoke with her about the bill. So, a couple days after that which is now today 2/13/24 I went in to pay the bill..upon entering the office I was speaking with the nice lady at the front desk. She pulled my bill up and said it was $77 or so? I was puzzled and said that didn't sound right? She said it was for the work the person did to the tank that apparently something had to be worked onShe said the propane charge wasn't on there yet. I said ok I rent the property so I will let the landlord know so he can pay it. At that point the lady in the back office comes hurriedly into the room and starts saying NO, you can't do that, it is your account and you have to pay that and tell your landlord to take it off of your rent! I was really caught off guard by her aggressive tone. I told her that was not my property and anything done to the tank was not my responsibility and the landlord would pay for it and, that there was no communication to myself or the landlord that anything was corrected on the tank and that it was ok to get propane yet a truck delivered 100 gallons of propane that I didn't order!I asked her if she recalled when I called and asked for 75 gallons and she said no, not to do that because the tank will have to be empty if it has to be fixed? All she wanted to do was be argumentative even though she said she didn't want to argue??She called me a liar and said that I told her 100. Which I most assuredly did not tell her 100. Even with that the question was the absolute all out NO COMMUNICATION at all, that if done would have kept ANY of this from ever even coming to be in the first place! I have had positive experiences with this individual in the past but her actions were totally uncalled for and showed the Worst customer service I have ever had to witness! All she wanted to do was justify her actions and not apologize for no communication nor take any type of true customer service actions at all. I was beyond disappointment and disgusted by her actions!Needless to say, she lost us as a cash paying CUSTOMER.Oh, and here is the correct CUSTOMER service response.I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and for the terrible lack of communication that occurred,please accept our apologies. We will try to correct these deficiencies so that this will not happen again in the future. Thank you for being a valued customer!

Ordered propane one week ago; still no propane. This is not the first time that this has happened.

Great place to get your propane tanks refilled, cheaper than trading them in at Walmart. The employees are very nice and helpful.

Was told this was the only place to get a propane fill up in town. Called when we were 4 minutes away to double check they did the refills. Lady said they closed early 10 til 5 and wouldn't wait. We would have arrive before the 10 minute cut off. Very rude and was a waste of time. Clearly didn't want the sale. Don't waste your time.

The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and confrontational. She should not be in customer service! However the guy outside running the services actually works and was extremely informative.

I have been a customer for years. I was going on vacation and asked for delivery of my gas the week after. They tried to deliver the week that I was on vacation. They could not get into my gas tank because I was not there. He went to my Dad's place the next property over and filled his tank that same day. They finally delivered the gas two weeks after I told them and charged me an extra $50 because I was not there when they tried to deliver previous time. I got over $1000 of gas. The driver has an attitude like no other. They might be the cheapest in ***** county but their customer service really is bad. I don't feel like I should be charged a fee for them getting the delivery date wrong.

Been trying for 3 days to get propane knowing we are at below 5%. I get a different excuse every time I call. Gas hot water heater. Gas cook stove....I mean I would like some propane.

Service lacks if the sign says open till five then you should be open at 4:50 this is twice you've done this. I won't make the same mistake again. I won't be back.b

Horrible customer service! Ordered and Paid for propane and still waited a week after knowing we were at 0. This has happened more then once with them. They pick and choose who they want to deliver too. Im pretty sure its discrimination now since it happens everytime i order!!! I wish i could find another propane supplier!!

I went into Cortez Gas the other day and they acted like they didnt want to help me while they sat and smoked cigarettes in the garage, the other woman sat in her chair, noone offered to help fill my tank up. They instead told me the guy should be out there somewhere, nowhere to be found, I left and went elsewhere.. wont go back.

This is one of the worst experiences I've had with a company of any kind. I was happy to use them but when I did they ripped my fiance off. She paid for us to get 50 gallons and it only lasted a week. There are no leaks. They said they put it all in and would fix our gauge AFTER they put gas in it but they only put like 5 gallons in there and never returned to fix anything. A week later I called and they said they'd have it all taken care of and never called or showed up. I've now been without heat while my fiance is pregnant for the last 3-4 weeks due to them. $130 wasted and nothing to come of it.
