Our favorite RV park in NM. Friendly staff and clean RV park. It is a quick ride from Albuquerque. The RV spaces are very roomy.

We've been coming here for a few years, (anytime we pass through the area.) Always peaceful and friendly. Even though fires have burned many surrounding acres, Pendaries still has theirs beautiful trees - we hiked the turquoise mine (pretty steep hike) amidst the burned trees.... Sad, but still beautiful. Always enjoy our stops here and the wildlife in the park.

This is a beautiful RV park with tall trees and plenty of space to walk, explore, and enjoy nature. The park is quiet, well-maintained, and family/pet friendly. There is a clubhouse where activities are hosted in the mornings and evenings, although we did not participate - many guests did.The main office is equipped with basic groceries, frozen meat, canned goods, milk and dairy products and other items you might need during your stay. They also have a small gift shop, including sweatshirts with the resort logo, and souvenirs.Having said that, though, you will want to come equipped with plenty of groceries, as their store isn’t cheap. They also do not sell beer, alcohol, or cigarettes. The closest place to buy any of those things is the town of Mora, a 20 to 25 minute drive from the park. There are a couple restaurants in Mora, but they are not open every day, or for very long hours. In other words if you want to be near bars, restaurants, shopping, or nightlife - this is not your place. We didn’t care about those things, but did wish we had stocked up a little better for our stay, and will in the future, as we will likely return. Our goal was to be in between Taos and Santa Fe - the only two day trips we had planned during our week at the park. It is about an hour and a half to each of those cities from Pendaries. The drive to Taos is stunning with plenty of streams for fishing all along the drive, and breathtaking views and scenery. Also, Taos is well worth the trip. A wonderful, friendly town with a lot to see and do. Many art galleries featuring local artists, and lots of excellent restaurants for quick local fare and also for fine dining. We had tapas and craft cocktails at Martyrs Steakhouse on the outdoor patio, where we were allowed to bring our border collie.Be aware that things close down around 6pm in both Taos and Santa Fe, which were were surprised by and not all restaurants and galleries are open in the middle of the week.I am including photos of Pendaries and some of our drive to Taos.

This has been my favorite rv spot for a few years now. It’s a total peaceful, happy spot for me and my family. As such, it’s 100% in my best interests to keep it secret. However, a fire came through the area recently and I thought I’d post about to support the business through tough times. Here’s the news: it’s STILL one of the most peaceful, happy spots I’ve visited. At first glance, you’d maybe even think nothing has changed - the forest and the beauty live on.So if you’re on the fence about visiting, don’t be. You won’t regret experiencing this gem of a campground.

Stayed in the cabin this time around. It was definitely a "cabiney" feel. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked although it was with poor quality stuff, but it is a cabin! The grill outside was amazing. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful scenery! Staff shared a short hike for us to take up the mountain side where there was an abandoned turquoise mine! It was gorgeous and you could see for miles at top of the peak! Our site was spacious and campground was well maintained. We were a 44ft toy hauler and had no trouble backing into our site.

Beautiful scenery great way to get away from everything. Here are the reasons I took a star away. First of all they know they have extremely high water pressure after I payed and got my packet they informed me that they recommend a pressure regulator. Oh you don’t have one how convenient we can sell you one. Really! Second the pads are not paved nor are the other road ways if it were to rain I would not even try to park in this place. Third there are very few options to get food anywhere in this area ( I am talking for a 20-30 miles) there is a food truck in front however their hours and days are not exactly convenient it was only open Thursday through Sunday. The golf course across the street has a snack bar that serves food however their hours are strange too and change give them a call. Last but not least the wifi is terrible. All and all the place is very beautiful we did enjoy the views and it’s quiet just be prepared for some of these things and you will have a beautiful stay.

Great value. Filled with Ponderosa pines. Park for the kids. A cave hike. Fishing nearby. Nice little shack up front that sells food, ice, propane, treats and most importantly... Espresso machine!
