The Rio Rancho store of A&R Medical is great! I used to go to the Albuquerque store and to another medical supplier for my monthly cpap supplies but the RR A&R store is more conveniently located, gives better and faster service and, most importantly, is much friendlier than any other store I’ve been to.

Still waiting after over a week for a medically prescribed wheelchair. Staff has endless excuses for why they refuse to ask the provider for additional information, process the order, or contact the patient. This level of incompetence is appalling. Wake up New Mexico; it isn't like this in other states

No one knows what they are doing. You make arrangements for pickups and they don’t show up. Then they arrive unannounced and you receive calls because you weren’t available. Customer service is terrible.

Review for the Rio Rancho location - It is nice to have a location to purchase medical supplies in the Rio Rancho area and the store has a nice selection for most medical needs. We purchased bathroom equipment and also used A & R for oxygen. While we had some major issues with initial oxygen equipment, I will say that both Brad (manager) and Sheri (owner) were initially responsive to our needs after some discussion. (note, I have deleted my initial review after continued problems)UPDATED REVIEW - After using A & R for the past 3 months, I feel an updated rating and review is needed. On the positive side, they are efficient at delivery of O2 tanks weekly. However, every other aspect of dealing with them has been less than positive! The equipment that they provide is outdated and not maintained. Example - our family went through 4 O2 concentrators in 48 hours and needed to repeat a nightly test due to faulty equipment provided from A & R. Secondly, communication with both the customer and medical professionals (i.e. patient physician) is abhorrent! Multiple errors in faxing and delivering important test results and lies from management and employees. Unacceptable for a medical company. Furthermore, with oxygen being hard to come by in these times, one would think a medical supply company would be doing ALL they can to maintain the equipment and work to provide O2 to as many customers as possible. If provided a choice of medical supply companies (specifically for oxygen needs) I would NOT recommend or choose A & R.

The store didn’t have what I needed even though the lady working there told me on the phone they did. When I asked about their return policy, she said they didn’t take returns at all because of the covid virus. That policy is not posted. And while I was there another customer returned a wheel chair she had rented for the weekend. If they are renting equipment during the pandemic, how can they say they do not take returns even on equipment that is metal and can be cleaned?

Starting in 2009, this company has been up,and down. The supplies would come in the mail as they were suppose too. Sometimes the tubing and/or mask would be the wrong one and I would have to take it to the store for a replacement. In 2019, the company decided to stop sending supplies in the mail so I had to drive down and pick them up. Sometimes they would be in the store, sometimes I would have to drive to the ABQ office on Lomas.Late last year, to get new suoplies, I needed to,make an appointment in ABQ for a mask fitting. I find out a few months later, my preauth had expired before the appointment and I needed to pay out of pocket for the 1st time ever. The billing gave me a "deal" and told me I only needed to pay half. What a disaster. Shouldn't they tell me beforehand a preauth expired? This week, they call me and say they needed to come by and pick up my concentrator and mask stuff (after 12 + years) because they can't find the original order from my sleep study in 2009. If I can't find it (the doctors office is closed) then they want to charge $75 a month .Stay away from this company. They also like to show up every 6 months unannounced and check your concentrator without even calling first to setup an appointment. If I have to get a new sleep study, it certainly won't be with this company as my DME provider. Stay away from this place.

I was given a Trilogy c-pap when leaving the hospital and although it was last year, I am finding that making payments a major problem. Receiving bills in the mail and going to the website given on the bill doesn't work(paymybill.com) doesn't work. I called A&R and they said it doesn't work. I see no place that shows how much I have paid or a balance and yet they show up every couple of weeks wanting to take it . The person who shows up has no idea what's going on and says he will have them call and no one does. This company is very unprofessional and they have know idea of what any one is doing in accounting . I really recommend that you go elsewhere to do business for medical supplies and equipment.
