We came in for the most incredible dinner on Saturday evening. It was so delicious we had to come in the next day for brunch. This evening was truly spectacular! My mother was in town from Montana and my brother-in-law and some friends came to celebrate. We shared four different plates, Lobster curry, Mushroom risotto,, the Duck and the Filet mignon. I’ve never had a more tender filet mignon in my entire life. The cocktails were equally amazing.Get the Mezcal Old Fashion!!Cannot wait to return to the spectacular establishment.

I’ve been coming to the stakeout for years now and each time the experience is more and more impressive. Their latest marvel is a Sunday brunch service that merits a white knuckled, hour long journey through blizzard conditions—it was well worth it to say the least. Best damn steak and eggs of my life. Bread pudding French toast will curl your toes. Atmosphere is unbeatable… classic cozy music, a cute dog now and then, what else could you possibly ask for? Cute bartenders? Check. Long, social, Last Supper-type tables? Check. A Manhattan or New Orleans level cocktail program at rural high desert prices? Check. Nothing but accolades for this Juniperan gem.

My wife and I had the best wedding here. Everyone was on top of their game and made an often chaotic day go smoothly. I’m a wedding photographer, so I have a lot of experience with venues and would have no second thoughts about recommending the Stakeout to my couples. The food was amazing, the setting was epic and the staff were on top of everything. We filled it to max capacity with our guests and everyone had a great time. Thank you to everyone at the Stakeout for such an awesome weekend!!!

My partner and I were somewhat nervous about hosting our “non-wedding marriage party” at the Stakeout site unseen, but it was everything we could have asked for and more. Meg, James, Kevin and the rest of the staff were so thoughtful throughout the planning process and put huge effort into realizing the desert house party of our imagination. They made the day of the event stress-free so we could enjoy ourselves and the food was totally unforgettable (partially because our guests will never let us forget…).Anyone would be lucky to spend time at the beautiful property and work with such a great group.

We had our wedding here in June 2022 and it was the exact experience we wanted. From the first conversation with CC to our final meetings to coordinate last minute details, everything was fantastic. James and Meg made sure we had a great night and that it was truly tailored to what we wanted as a couple for our family and friends. The culinary experience was important to us and we couldn’t have asked for anything better- our guests continue to rave that this is the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Chef Kevin and team worked with us on our selections, ensuring everything was high quality and delicious. We didn’t want a cookie cutter wedding and The Stakeout delivered. We’re so grateful we chose Taos and The Stakeout for our day!
