Very worth the short drive down from central Taos!!!We loved the regional artworks curated by these experts. Beautiful paintings, pottery and basketry that we intend to add to our home. Found some new (to us) favorite artists. Gallerist Rae was an extremely knowledgeable host sharing the details and back stories of the pieces.

The first time we stopped into Chimayo Trading was purely by accident; now we make it a point to visit any time we are in the area. The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and are clearly supportive of the artists they represent, who are numerous. There are many wonderful pieces of art here, for almost any budget. May Chimayo Trading celebrate many more years of business!

We've been stopping at Chimayo Trading Del Norte when we're in the Taos area for years now and it's always worthwhile. They have a big collection of very good and interesting art and also very nice jewelry. The people are very knowledgeable about the artists and local history, and friendly and helpful as well.

We have purchased Gabriel's turquoise bracelet, a beautiful painting, a magnificent Tec Nos Pos rug and many wonderful pottery pieces from Chimayo over the years. Chimayo is excellent in all respects - selection, quality, price for the value and service. I could not recommend them more highly.

We have found the Chimayo Trading Del Norte has been an excellent and reliable place to buy art of the finest quality. I have known the family who owns this for many years, and have nothing but the best to say about the owners and the various forms of art.

This is one of my favorite galleries because the selection is so fabulous, the setting so warm and inviting, and the people responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. I used to patronize the original Chimayo Trading in Chimayo and appreciated John's history, sense of humor and incredible perspective. Gabe and his wife have carried that forth and this is a place NOT to miss!!!

Gabe, the owner is a generational trader of incredible Southwest art, Navajo Rugs, Pueblo Pottery and artifacts. I have purchased several pieces of pottery, rugs, and art. Very impressed with their knowledge and backgrounds.

Gabriel and his family are wonderful to work with, the quality of their offerings is very high and authentic. Definitely worth the short drive from the square, make it a lunch next door and visit the church as well. An annual visit when we vacation nearby.

I visit the beautiful and informative website regularly. My wife and I bought pottery from John when the trading post was in Chimayo. This Thanksgiving we plan to visit Chimayo Trading. In the past I bought, traded and donated weavings with a number of trading posts and museums.

One the best galleries in the Taos area! I love the variety of art from the early Taos artists to the new talent in the valley, both contemporary and traditional. Also has a great collection of Pueblo pottery, jewelry, antique basketry, and Navajo rugs, both old and new. Recommended by an old family friend from Taos (an avid art collector) several years ago, and I've never been disappointed in what I see. Also, very reasonable prices compared to Santa Fe!

Family owned gallery with very knowledgeable owners. Have purchased jewelry, kachinas, carvings, pottery, & fetishes from there. Prices are fair considering the quality of the art pieces. Had also made purchases at the father's shop in Chimayo which is now closed due to retirement. We would never travel to Taos without a visit. A few years back, knowing that my husband appreciated Glen Fred's kachinas, he received a call from the owner about a piece he had just received. Was purchased over the phone & was received in a timely manner.

This store is in the Rancho de Taos Plaza, just south of Taos. We went based on some advertisements we saw and it was worth the trip. The owners were very helpful and accomodating. We spoke about numerous paintings, baskets, pottery, jewelry and other artwork, some modern, some true antiques. The owner does some of the jewelry work in good with gorgeous opals. Highly recommend it you're looking for something special, not junk.
