We were driving by on our way to ski Sipapu, and stopped in for a burger. It was exactly what I expected. Great burger, at a great price, and almost more fries than you could eat. After we finished skiing, we came back and had the enchilada plate and tamale plate. Both were excellent, and again it was a lot of food for the price.Victor visited with us and was quite interesting to talk with. He's been there for 52 years and counting. Definitely go there if you can. We'll be back for sure.

Step back in time with an open mind! Food is as expected, but the charm is literally dripping from the walls and ceilings, resembling old grease, but trust me it is all just decades of

We were passing through on a leisure drive and stopped for late lunch. Old-fashioned milks shakes, fries made from scratch and fresh from fryer. Good classic burgers. Opened in 1971 and the burger flipper himself was Victor! THE LEGEND. It’s an unassuming place and with no service for anything so you need cash, but definitely stop on in while doing road trips. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends.

We stopped in for a bite to eat on a short road trip. We were not starving but wanted drink and a snack. Its a mom and pop with all of the unassuming, not updated but clean that all good-ole-fashioned places have out in the country. If you want “atmosphere” this probably aint it. BUT if you willing to try something the milkshakes are old-fashioned: ice cream and milk with simple flavoring. Burgers and Hot Dogs simple and pleasing. If you one of those “I NEED SAUCE OR IT GOT NO FLAVOR!!” move along, this is simple but good food and not needing a siGnaTuRe sauce. Its not Sonic, Its not Red Robin, Its not whatever chain you think it should be. Its a mom and pop with simple, but good food between here and there.

It's that mom and Pop experience you get with the freshness that you crave. With a handmade milkshake to finish with just cut and fried potatoes? Excellent.

The food is no better or worse than any of the tourist traps served up with faux pretense in Taos or Santa Fe….the reason to stop here is because Victoria and his wife are hands down, the sweetest most genuine people on Earth.

Homey little restaurant owned and operated by a nice husband and wife. The food is always good and freshly cooked to order by the husband and his wife is the waitress and cashier. If you are going through Penasco, NM it is worth stopping in for lunch.

Get the tacos! Tacos costenos were fantastic and the service was prompt. Went here at about 1 pm and didn’t have to wait and the service was excellent.

Super nice older couple runs the place. They don’t take card of any kind but the place is clean and the food is good it’s like eating in my grandparents kitchen.

Stopped in for a burger and shake on our way out of town after helping out with the Calf Canyon Fire. Fantastic story of a fantastic family. Enjoyed the food and shake, prices are fantastic. A must stop if you're ever in the area.

Victor's is a must stop for a quick bite on your way up to Taos. Definitely a top 3 lifetime chili dog for me and finished it off with a $2 ice cream cone. Can't beat it. You can be in and out in as much time as you want but I'd recommend hanging for a bit. Its the kind of place that you get one thing and then get a couple more things. Highly recommend!

Love the burgers from Victors! Very old style cafe with wonderful owners. Very cool area to visit as well in Penasco on the High Road to Taos. Lovely and rustic in the foothills of the mountains.
