The Octagon Inn is the best place to stay in Navajo Dam. The management is very friendly and helpful. Could not have been happier with the place (we rented the cabin) and location. Can’t wait to stay here again!Rooms: The cabin is perfect for 2-4 people. Great location and quiet.

The Octagon Inn is the place to stay if you’re wanting to fish the really fishy San Juan River.I’m pretty new to the art and fun and of fly fishing and have made several treks up to the Octagon from Texas…after hearing that it was the must stay spot from OG anglers who’ve been fishing and staying in the area for decades! The Juan is great for both novice and experienced anglers and the Octagon sleeps and showers em all the same…real good. Whether planning a trip solo (rent a room or the cabin), with big group of friends (main house sleeps 9ish I think…fact check me), or with my fam of 4 to stay in the cabin I know what I’m getting when I book it, and that’s excited. Truly.I love that the Octagon is equipped so you can cook or not cook, talk or not talk (to the few others staying on the premises who have ALWAYS been kind), and fish or not fish. But, you should absolutely fish.And yes, it’s actually an octagon. Maybe I need to book a trip right now just to go back and confirm????. But really, this place will meet your needs when you aren’t on or in the water and even point you to world class guiding service dialed in to the Juan to help ya out if you need or want that while you are.Have fun!
