I loved the family feeling here at FishHeads. The main issue I experienced was the cleanliness of the rooms. In the mini fridge there was left over food from the previous guest. They left an empty roll of paper towels and 0 cups for the coffee maker in the room.
The bbq dinner on Saturdays is extremely overpriced for the amount you are given. The staff is absolutely amazing and wonderful. The young lady in the mornings is amazing! She made me feel welcomed both mornings when I came in to eat by myself. As an executive manager of a Boutique Hotel in Albuquerque, I’d definitely recommend this place specifically for the service and location! Thank you all!

We really enjoyed our stay at Fisheads for the weekend. The place we stayed at was newly remodeled and was clean. The restaurant had great food and the older woman waiting on us provided excellent service. The Fishing was all we could have hoped for and more. I would highly recommend asking for A. Rod aka Alex Rodriguez. He is one of the younger guides on the river but you can tell he has plenty of experience and made our fishing one we would never forget! Thank you again A.Rod!!

A Definite Spot for me and the Homies to Start the day Fishing with A Delicious Huge Smothered Breakfast Burrito and When The Day of Fishing Comes to End It Is the Best Spot for A Reserved Delicious Dinner. Green Chili Sauce is PRIMO!!! Open face burger Smothered & Green Chili Philly are my Fav.

Hired guide Marty Staton . He's the best guide I've ever hired. Patient when you tangle up or get a wind knot. Extremely knowledgeable, taught me how to read the Juan. And helped me break my P.B trout.

First ever guided fishing trip, our guide Conner made this trip amazing. He was extremely helpful and made our adventure a once in a life time experience. I will be planning additional trips with Fish Head guide services and requesting Conner as our guide.. Thanks Conner for an amazing time.

We have done a number of float trips with FH for years. Always great guides who know the water and work hard to find the fish. This year was our first with Bubba, an excellent guide with a ton of knowledge, caught a lot of nice trout.

Staying and fishing at Fishheads San Juan River Lodge in New Mexico was a wonderful experience for us. My husband and I enjoy fly fishing and have taken many guided trips. Our guide Manny is one of the best we’ve ever had. He is hardworking, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was born and raised in the area and knows the river like the back of his hand. The water was extremely high but he found the perfect flies to land us many rainbows and browns. The Lodge rooms are a bit worn, but very clean, and the food was exceptional. Barbara and Peggy delivered four course meals every night that were delicious and beautifully plated. The breakfasts were hot and tasty. (Try the green chili. It’s made right there and it’s delicious.) We highly recommend this lodge. We’ll be back to fish and stay there again.

Wonderful weekend here! Spent 3 nights and enjoyed 2 days of fly fishing with the Best Guides ( 2 of us caught at least 15 trout each). Food and service phenomenal. - gourmet meals served with grace.
