My sisters mother in law bought 2 necklaces and was charged for a ring she never purchased. When confronted by my mother in law’s sister, she lied and said she was not there and could not speak on it. Would advise anyone traveling through , DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE! This is theft and by the looks of it, this is not their first time stealing from their consumers. Look at the owners reviews and see how inappropriate her responses are to customers. Should show you what kind of person she/he is. This place sucks and the people who run it suck, god bless.. what would Jesus do, ask yourself this… and then ask yourself once more and keep on doing that till your not in front of him because you freaking steal from women who just want to have fun and live a rich and joyful life…. Shame on you! You suck-

I would give negative stars to this business and especially this business owner!! She is an awful human being, extremely rude, and a crook! We’ve tried numerous times to contact her about a ring her associate sold us but never gave to us. We’ve tried to resolve this amicably through email, calls, and Facebook messenger with no response. She ended up blocking us through Facebook, which shows she knows she is in the wrong. We even tried going in person to discuss the situation and she was extremely argumentative and said she wasn’t here so it wasn’t her problem, even though she has cameras in her store. So you can’t go back and look at the footage? I find that hard to believe. Please go and look at all of the other negative reviews, which shows it’s a pattern. Stay far away from this business!

Owner is extremely rude and did not care about customer satisfaction whatsoever. Very argumentative when we tried to resolve the issue and responded in a rude, aggressive manner. There are so many better jewelry stores in Mesilla to find better quality jewelry and customer service. Do not shop here!!!!!

If I could give this business a 0, then I absolutely would. Let me start off by saying that whoever the old raggedy white lady is at the counter... I'm not sure if she's the owner or not but she immediately rolled her eyes as I walked in the store. A lady in the store asked her a question about the jewelry and she rolled her eyes again and proceeded to be sarcastic. At that point, I immediately knew that she was acting like this because we were all brown complexion. No wonder why her shop was empty. Not only that but it smelled horrendous in there. The jewelry looked absolutely fake which is probably why she was bothered that the other lady asked if she was the person who made the jewelry. I then witnessed her yell at an elderly lady to "GET OUT" of the store when she was just viewing the glass boxes of jewelry on display. I whole heartedly believe that this place might be a money laundering business with fake jewelry for show. Avoid this store at all costs. You will find better quality on Etsy. I seriously cannot believe what I witnessed in that store. HARAM!!!!

Visiting town. I was driving down the street in search of a spot to park. A person in a BMW came riding up on my tail at a high rate of speed and honked when I stopped to parallel park. I got into my spot and the person angrily shot around me to also parallel park two spots up. A very angry older woman got out and used her key to open the store. I certainly would never set foot in this place with an attitude like that. I would expect that kind of behavior in a bigger city. Way to bring in the customers.

My husband I are originally from El Paso but were visiting Old Mesilla on a Thursday morning from Arlington, TX. We stumbled upon Starah's store in search of the perfect wedding rings after 3 years of not having one! We meet the owner herself, Starah and she listens to our story, we have great conversations and then she directs us to the Dry Creek (sacred buffalo) white turquoise ring with sterling silver plating for me which is SO beautiful and rare as we will soon find out. My ring came with a matching necklace that I HAD to bring home with me as well. My husband bought a sterling silver band with a bear claw and a small sleeping beauty turquoise stone which she explained meant "reflection" in Native American culture which was significant to us. We left the store and took our rings to a local silversmith in El Paso who helped resize and engrave our rings in time for us to have and leave back to Arlington by Saturday morning. The silversmith was excited to see that we had legitimate sterling silver rather than nickel plated silver and reassured us by the engravings on the back of the plate. He told us about sleeping beauty stone and the rarity of dry creek white turquoise and that our stones were absolutely beautiful! This was reassuring that our interaction and transaction was genuine with Starah whom we loved her bubbly personality from the get go. THANK YOU SO MUCH STAR! <3
