The miserable woman working the counter was horrifically rude to my mother today. All because she politely asked for assistance with a delicate piece she wanted to buy. She could give lessons on how to fail at running a business. Had a wonderful time in town until we stopped there. We will never be back all because this awful excuse of a human left such a bad impression. What a shame. So many nice people and interesting artwork everywhere. Don't bother stopping at this shop on your way through, you'll be much happier avoiding it.

Had never been to Madrid, New Mexico before and lady in shop was short-tempered and RUDE! Every time I asked a question, it appeared to be a bother for her to respond.I spent over 100.00 and she shoved my bag as opposed to handing it to me to say thank you. When I moved the earrings, I was purchasing by the register and continued to look, she asked where the earrings were. I understood her implications but no apologies when I pointed the earrings were by the register. She gives the town a bad image. I don't care to go back due to this one nasty lady. She should just close the business down if she can't respect all of her customers.

Lady berated me because I wasn't masked. Absolute j**** I was appalled that she would treat her customers this way.

I visited this store today while not wearing a mask. The sign on the door said “masks appreciated” so my daughter and I did not wear one in the store. I found a wonderful pair of earrings to buy, but the woman who worked there greeted me with “get away from me” and then preceded to tell me she was an at risk senior citizen. All while causing a major scene she then decided to mask shame us. Needless to say I did not make a purchase and walked out of the store. This woman is clearly frightened and I feel for her but if it is that important she should have had her sign read that masks were mandatory. I would not visit this store ever again nor recommend to any of my friends.

Women who runs the store is rude about the mask mandate. The sign in the front says masks appreciated but should say mandatory. I will never visit this store again or recommend to anyone. I have never had such a bad experience when shopping in Madrid as I did today.

Was contemplating buying a $525 piece today, but was told to put on a mask when other masked customers walked in. We had been in the store for 10min already without wearing any masks. Will happily take my money and my business elsewhere, you are welcome to live in fear and feel your mask will protect you, especially when the lady was constantly adjusting and touching her mask. We'll support businesses that promote freedom and not discrimination.

A day trip from Tijeris, NM, where our RV was parked as we travel on Route 66 - led us down Highway 14 (becoming “The Turquoise Trail”) This beautiful drive took us into Madrid, NM where we enjoyed the festive casual atmosphere of wonderful shops down Main Street featuring local Native American artists. We certainly chose a perfect gallery to shop. Greeted by an accomplished owner and great staff, we found wonderful items and gifts and made new friends. We highly recommend “Gifted Hands Gallery” to any one traveling through to Santa Fe or Albuquerque. I rank it as top notch and totally unique.
