One review and I my because we found it. Place looked abandoned and so did the town. It was literally a ghost town and would creep you out at night. Not sure why it doesn't say "permanently closed".

My brother's middle name came from the owner Yancey. Hopefully he and Mary are still the owners. My family and I will be coming there for vacation this year.

A relic from friendlier days. Just a gem of a watering hole. I'm going to go back in the winter because the pot belly stove looks really warm

We did not stop in as everything closes somewhat early. However it is a very neat place to see and or photograph if you're passing through the town or heading to Broken saddle horseback riding

This is a diamond in the rough. Headed to Madrid but saw this place on Google. It had a higher rating than anything there. An unexpected sandwich menu, plus a salad and a variety of skewers. Not your commonplace menu! Craft brews and wine. Old New Mexico setting. Friendly staff. It was busy, but they got a table ready pretty fast. We are so glad we got off the highway. Don't miss this place!!

Don't be scared just walk on in. The lights might be off and the place might appear a little bit cluttered but this is what it is. Unfortunately the original Mary has passed away recently in her mid 90s, she was a marvelous person, been there most, if not all, of her life. Mary's daughter now runs the place. Open hours can be spotty at times but just give it a chance. This is always a stop for me when I'm in town.

If you wanna a true New Mexican bar experience.. this is the stop for you! Established in 1936- a real taste of history in this little village. The owner, Kathy if full of knowledge and wild stories of her upbringing in the bar. Excellent margaritas & organic wine opitons!
