No, they don't have everything under the sun. That's what Amazon or Lowes is for. But they have a great selection of all the routine stuff and the staff is friendly and helpful. Can't even tell you how much money I've spent over there keeping up my tired old LA quad. Spending some more tomorrow, matter of fact. Good as it gets for a small town in NM.

This place is a gem for Los Alamos. Close, convenient, and usually has what you need. It has Los Alamos prices, but it is worth shopping there as to not have to drive off the hill. I use them as much as possible.

I spend a lot of time at metzger's, it's friendly. They have everything that I've ever needed except for that one time, prices are fair and it's close to my home.In a lot of ways I think of it as my home away from home! At least when I'm after hardware and stuff like that.

Today I want to talk about the UGLY, my Mom Lynn Compton, lovingly know as “The Paint Lady” at Metzgers hardware in White Rock. Has worked for Metzgers for over 29 years, thru thick and thin, thru Covid. Had a health issue missed two weeks of work with a hospital stay and a medical excuse for work. After she got to feeling better and now with Oxygen she was ready to return to work. With the only restriction of she needs her concentrator. Metzgers has refused to give her any clear answers about putting her back on schedule, being shuffled around by local management with only excuses and no clear answers and then shoved off to the owner of Metzgers, Greg Metzgers who also refuses to return calls or give clear answers when Lynn can return to work. Yesterday after multiple phone calls and messages he finally called Lynn and did not give her a schedule or return day to come back to work and with no clear answers for her. He said I will send you a letter. This all started on April 21 when Lynn went to a routine appointment and her Dr realized her O2 levels were at dangerous lows and had her admitted to the hospital, she was then transferred to Rust hospital in Albuquerque. But they figured it out. She is more then stable with her O2 concentrator and just wants to return to work. SHAME ON METZGERS AND ON GREG METZGERS TO JUST THROW AWAY ONE OF OUR HARDEST WORKING DEDICATED SENIORS IN THIS COMMUNITY!!!

Los Alamos is blessed to have a place like this. Prescilla and her crew have helped me out time and time again. She, and many other employees, have gone far out of their way to make sure my projects are completed and the correct materials purchased. I have asked their opinion about how to approach tasks and they show me a method I would never have thought of. They are friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Muchas gracias!

Has some essentials. Not all. Good selection of tools. Prices are a little.higher than what you can find online. That said. Convenient. Good paint selection. If you need materials or pieces and have the time I'd go down the hill for some savings.

Decent hardware store for the size if the town. Strive to meet the demands of the local community. If they don't have what you need ask they can help you order it. Very accommodating and helpful. Wonderful staff.

Grateful to have this store here, so helpful for all kinds of home repairs, it’s nice not to have to leave the hill for every little thing and the staff is good about helping you find stuff even if you’re not 100% sure what you need to fix it

Was looking for rent stakes, which they had, absolutely refused to pay $13.00 for them.. went to grocery store and found the exact same ones for $3.99... so expect to get pay a significant amount more for something so cheap...

I have relied on the White Rock & Los Alamos locations for home repairs, remodels, and paint job for 25+ years. Now that they carry the Do it Best brand, their selection is even better. Their selection is surprisingly broad. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. The prices are reasonable. Often, they can be better priced than Amazon and Home Depot. This is a locally owned store, with locals helping you. Small town America at it's best!

I agree they have no customer service. New manager was very rude and not helpful. No one seems to care. They just sit there and don't ask if you need help finding something.
